Just read Terri's post and got all excited! I bagged all my 20ps up last night and there were new ones in there. I've rifled through the bag like a woman possessed to find they're all stamped with 2008. Bah!! :p

After days of stressing about my vastly failed number crunching, i have logged on today to find the balance showing at what i expected.......PHEW!!
So the week will still be tight, but i know i can pay the DDs due out. I cannot tell you how relieved i am.

Greenbynature - your kids sound as if they're well grounded and that's down to you. My mom always felt guilty that my dad was an a-rse but i learnt not to expect anything and grew appreciating how much she has and still does for me. I'm sure your kids will be the same.

Clarissa - i'm your hard work with potty training is paying off - well done you x :T

Good to see you back Lelc, Pointpenguin and Tuppie :hello:

Naughtynat - i'm sorry to hear you are struggling, i've been there. I can remember living on pasta and salad cream when i was younger. Have you got any money due in or anyone who can help out? It's time for a dodgy group hug :grouphug: xxx

Thanks for the coffee Jo - have a good day xx

    £2.00 B'clay o/d
    £7.00 Npower
£30 Change from jar to go in bank towards bills

    TOTAL PaD £39.00

Lemma - dodgy hug for you too and anyone else that needs one :grouphug: My hubby is self employed. The roller coaster of it has contributed to our debt. They subcontract to the same firm now (unbelieveably where he was initially a permanent employee - but don't get me started :silenced: ) so it's slightly more stable, at least when the man with the money stays around to pay it out

I hope they pay you soon xx

I hope they do soon too. ;)

My OH is a very mature student (40+) at university. He is supposed to be starting a 12 month paid placement in June but we have also recently found out he has a progressive disorder which is going to impact upon his ability to work in the future.

I know there are so many people that are much worse off than me but i feel that i need some sort of....well, i wish things were different i suppose. But we have to wait and see and i need to make sure that i can avoid the dreaded BR cos if i don't then it will be the end of my career.

    Moan over.

    Love to all xxxx

  • Good morning

Mixture of posts today ........ some of you on the up and some of you struggling .... I think I am in the second category !
Thought I would pay car tax online with credit card... did not want to use credit card but does delay paying for one month but then discovered they charge £2.50 for using card  ..OK ... but when I tried to get tax... computer said no .... why  I don't believe it  MOT runs out on Saturday   More expense ... they know how to get you when you think you are winning !!!!!! My fault ofcourse :o

So, phoned car mechanic.. nice man .. will pick up car and take car for me.. much less stress. Anything wrong he will put right and bring car back with MOT. Then I can get tax. So that's £40+ for MOT and £120 for tax. (out of weekly income of £125)

My PAD may have to take a 'payment holiday'... I'll sort out my pennies later.

Any good news ? Car vandal goes to court next week. :j Asked policeman if I could seek damages and he laughed.... poor boy has no money  BUT NEITHER DO I  They will probably keep him in prison where he is fed, kept warm, has entertainment and everything he needs... no bills to pay.....but no freedom.... but then my freedom is limited by people like HIM. Risk my car being vandalised every time I come home late and have to park it in nearby road!!!!

Question ... car been put right... doors forced back into place and steeering column sorted but is it worth putting in insurance claim? ... is it worth all the hassle?... especially as car insurance premium may go up if I claim (I have got protected no claims bonus) or worse still they may write off car. What do others think ? I do get a courtesy car while mine is being repaired ;) I think I will ask for a porsche :D

Sorry for rambling but fed up with the struggle...... pity they don't put prisoners in stocks these days... they have some in the village near me..I could be first in line to throw wet sponge or something more damaging.... only kidding.

    Feel better now.

    Have a nice day everyone

    miss t
