£11.28 for me today to the egg card. I'm finally under 300 on this one. YAY!Total Debt 10/5/2009, £2189.10, 1/6/09 £1420.75
1/7/09 £1661.66, after 2 holidays 1/9/09 £1725.36
1/11/09 £1188.890 -
Morning all. Today I have paid £5.44 to Egg, which takes me to
over £100 of additional payments (not including minimums) since I started with you all on 6th Jan. :j :j
I'm thrilled :T :T with that - especially in January. I can honestly say I don't know what that £100 was being spent on before - but it certainly was being fritted away!!
So, today I am the proud owner of a nice big Hoegarden glass - smuggled out of the pub last night!! :shhh: :shhh: :shhh:
This is for any coin less than 10p in my wallet at the end of each day. Not going to post these as PAD's but will post the total when banked every now and again as a bigger amount. It will take me a while to fill this up though as I "Switch" nearly everything now - me and cash in the pockets just does not work!!
To the guys on here with Cap1's - I also got their lovely suprise letter.
Don't get that increase when the base rate is 1.5% - they must have lots of bad debtors we are now all paying for. I will be having a snowball morning on Saturday to see whether I need to stop Egg and start Cap1, but is anyone tempted to tell Cap1 to get stuffed, fix the interest as it is now and just pay it off ? (meaning the card cannot be used again?) Tempted....
Enjoy your day. Keep making those little payments!!

London A - it's amazing how quickly it all adds up isn't it. I used to just pay one amount a month about three days before payment was due. I love doing it this way!!
Well done everyone on whatever payment they make today whether it's pence or pounds!
My PAD is £5.00. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! I can't wait until February for my free council tax tax and water month. Also, I'm waiting for a cheque back from pet insurance and i'm going to use some of that for savings as the money has already been spent/budgeted for.
{note to self - stop wishing the days away!!!}0 -
Morning everyone:j
My pad is £125 to HMRC.
Trying not to fret about it all but its easier said than done.
I suppose one positive way of looking at it is that none of us will get ourselves in this position again cos the feeling you get in the pit of your stomach and the sleepless nights you get cos of worry are really yukky!
If ever there was a time to crack the debt....this is it.2013 TARGET £30k

Hear hear Andy!!
I got mine increased from 26% right up to 34%
I wouldnt mind as id almost paid it off but used it literally minutes before the letter dropped through the door to pay Studio (39.9%)
I paid studio £500 and already had £300 on it so £800 debt at 34%.
Angry is an understatent so im now using my PAD and regular payments and I swear to myself I WILL pay this off before the increase kicks in and telll them exactly where to shove it!
Sorry, getting overemotional :rotfl:
Its just so infuriating, ive been a customer for a few years, always paid well, spent welletc
Just when im getting on top of things they come along to kick me when im down.........
Dont know if you saw the CC board, most people have had similar letters with random increases but a few have had their rates DECREASE? Very odd if you ask me but as of March im done with them
Hope you can get yours sorted, can you clear and close or are you stuck with them?
Hugs

Morning all
This might sound silly to some but i like seeing a rounded number in my bank account like £38.00 and no £38.45. I was thinking i would transfer the £8.45 or 0.45p to my litte woods account so that my bank balance is rounded off and it all looks neat and tidy BUT if i did this then my littlewoods blance would not look nice and tidy and would not be rounded off. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I dont know what to do lol I know i can't have it both ways :rotfl:
Anyways. I will see what all you loverly people advice me on and then check Internet banking and will make a payment to Littlewoods later

:j Hi ya
Jo41 - aww hunni hope your feeling a bit better soon xx and well dun slashing that card down, just in the nick of time !!
Terri - well don’t on the choccy free, not so good on the gaining but that could just be water !
FF - thanks for the totals hope your having a nice day !
Pippo - well done on the clearing of that card !!
Dankosheemo - it is ridiculous but I guess it is there way of getting through this crisis
Miss thrifty - well done I think you can get it down doing really well do you have a plan to clear £1K in every 2 months ?
Mumof4 - well done at least your getting there now and £350 that will be gone in no time . Set a goal to when it will be paid and aim for that or sooner that’s what I do. In a way these companies are not going to have much custom for as long as the % go up no one will go near them unless they have more money then sence !!
MMY - sorry to hear about your OH, I guess that’s there way. But atleast your doing something about it and not paying the minimum huh ! Well done !
Njko327 - well done on getting to £300 must feel good to seeing it get smaller and smaller !!
London Andy - keep going mate ! Well done on the added £100 a month it is amazing where it goes !! Think I would tell them to get stuffed !
Mud bath - well done in the planning , I worry that if you don’t have to pay will you budget for the months you do on the council tax ect ? Put a bit by for March or does it not work like that ?
Lemma1968 - yes I often lay awake worrying it isn’t even my debt but it buggs the hell out of me that me and OH have got into this way so easily and at such a young age 25 ! Also we would have over £400 spare a month if we had no debts and more in April for DD, but as I say atleast it is a lesson learnt, even if it is the hard way !
ElizabethJH - well done keep going and chin up
Clearing out my pockets - wow what a payment WELL DONE does that mean your closer to clearing it ??
Have you a target end date to aim for ? Say £1K per 2 months ? Keep it up
Mumof2 - it isn’t silly a lot of us are like that I now can’t stand to see the odd pennies in accounts or on OH balances lol I make him pay it off haha
Well so far for me today £1 PAD tomorrow will be a smidge more as it is normally take out night.
Update on DD she still doing well wee wee way can’t believe that for a month now baring 1 day she has sussed the wee’s wohoo that’s saves us £28, we brought nappy pack for the evening and looked like last night she wasn’t going to go bed without it on as she now saying she wants a wee and take nappy off it is all good hehe still having problems with the bottle.
Gym day today I hope, mate phoned last night saying yes and to phone her at 10am to make sure as she wasn’t feeling to great.. Anyway lol were losing pounds one way or another, also for some reason I am a lot happier and waking up earlier instead of staying in bed, have now set alarm for 7.30 and an alarm for 8.30 to be washed dressed and ready for and I seem to be doing good 2 more days till Pay day wohoo :rotfl:
so on that happy note I shall post back later and hopefully see how all is doing !! have a nice day
