  • Morning All. Don't know exactly why, but I'm in a really great happy mood today. Hope you're all happy too.

Well after another weekend of spending great time with my wife and little girl, I have yet again failed to make any PAD's on Sat & Sun so todays PAD of £5.30 is to cover Saturday, Sunday and Today.

Now after a bumper payment of £323.00 on Friday to my HSBC + all of the PAD's it's brought the balance down to £1079 (from £1547 on 30th Dec 08).

I actually have £1151 in a savings account which I could use to clear the balance, BUT this money isn't truely mine as it's required to purchase components and prints to construct photography albums for my clients (I'm a wedding photographer). My worry would be that I clear the balance and HSBC reduce my limit... then I'd be unable to fulfill my clients orders.

    Any thoughts?

Yeah suppose I have - Bit of a bummer to think that I could save £25 - £30 per month in interest but can't really go for it becasue of the risk of a reduced credit limit.

Oh well - I'll plod on with my PAD's.

Hoping for a bonus payment in March so should be able to clear it then anyway.

    Cheers.

"Happy" Monday all. Can't believe the weekend flew by so quickly.

Terri - what a fantastic set of smilies in your last mega - post. I am loving the DJ + dancers one. Reminding me of last Friday night and my cool dancefloor moves (not) !

Bigger total from me today as I am including personal loan repayment ; firstly for motivation and cos I am keeping a monthly tally of all repayments and also because it's my biggest one to clear and it's all going towards that debt free day. So a whoppin £319.28 to the loan and £4.02 to Egg to keep that little beggar coming down too.

    Have a great Monday all.

  • Smamfer - I'm intrigued by your Signature....

How come you owe VAT? Is this because you are self employed and haven't saved up in order to pay your VAT to HMRC.

If so, I suspect I'll be in a similar position as in yr 2008 - 2009 I haven't saved any of my income to pay Mr TAX Man.

Were you able to agree a repayment plan with HMRC?

    Thanks in anticipation.
