!!!!!! - I missed my payment yesterday as I had an exam in the morning and then had to work later on - silly me, that's the first one I've missed.

Just paid £1.00 off my egg credit card balance though. It feels good doing a little every day - it constantly reminds me how much debt I'm in too, which is not a bad thing!! xx

    Hi everyone,

I am new here, but been following this thread for a few days and been finding it very interesting - hope you don't mind if I also join in with a PAD.

Today I paid £7.40 to our Nationwide CC :j . We have a few different debts, and not sure if I should concentrate on using my PAD to just one debt, or if I should spread between our debts? Any advice appreciated!

Hi there! Of course you're welcome to join us!

I always try to make my payments to the account with the highest interest, which means that I'll be paying less in the long run. I use this snowball calculator to keep on top of my debts: https://www.whatsthecost.com. It might be worth having a look.

However some people prefer to pay a bit off each account every week so that they can see them all gradually coming down - it's entirely up to you how you prefer to work at it!

Others save their money in a jar and use that to make one large payment at the end of the month, but keep a tally of what's going in the jar.

It all works, whatever's good for you! It just feels good to make a difference every day, no matter how small! xx

    Hi folks

Was very busy yeaterday so didn't get the chance to post. Anyway £4 for my PAD today (£2 for yesterday and £2 for today).

Have been having a look at my finances to see if I can jiggle things around to pay of a wee bit extra. Have been putting my £30 a month for Christmas but am also doing the sealed pot challenge. Decided I didn't really need to do both as I don't want to spend more than £360 at xmas. So I decided that if I could save at least the £30 a month in my change/sealed pot instead of the normal direct debit then I could use the direct debit towards my credit card.

Counted what I had saved so far in my sealed pot since 1st December to give an idea of how well I was doing and I have over £100 in there already:T . So will keep the sealed pot challenge going and start using the £30 I normally save towards my Card.

Sorry long post but just processing my rational once again to make surer it makes sense:p
