Hi, everyone great to see that we are all still pegging away! Thanks too for the coffe, just what i needed when at my desk so early...
Did a long post last night but klost it - Grrr! Still, It was useful because I actually worked out exactly how much I owe in total. Had not really done that before and it was pretty grisly when I saw the final figure. Just trying to remember off-hand, all my notes are at home, but anyway:
    Lloyds main account overdrawn £1,000
    Lloyds second account overdrawn £440.00
    Barclaycard at 0% owe £1,440.00
Lloyds loan owe £6,964.54 APR 7.9%. Monthly repayment of £148.58 taken directly from bank account.
    Total: £9,844.54
Think I can probably pay of the .54p.....!
Can I ask for some advice here? I know the Lloyds loan has interest, but it comes out monthly from my bank account and I have budgeted for this. I really want to pay off my main account overdraft so that when I get paid [like yesterday....] my salary doesn't disappear into a black hole. With PAD, what's the best way to tackle your overdraft? {Sorry if this question is a bit thick, I am new to all this.] Am I better to make a PAD into my piggy bank and then pay it in weekly? That would start nibbling round the edges of my overdraft, which charges interest if it goes above £500.00. So the first aim is to get that below £500, which I'm sure I can do with all your amazing money-saving and making ideas! I just heard yesterday that i have got the overtime I asked for in February - April, which will mean horrendously long days twice a week but should bring more than £1,000 net into my eager little hand.
Really welcome your thoughts - must get my signature sorted out so I can start crossing off!
    Yesterday PAD £1.30....

£2.00 towards CC today for me today :)
MMY I guess you could put it aside in another account and at the end of each month or whatever pay it off and call them up to get them to reduce it that way you cant go up to the old limit.

Thanks, NewMum that's a good idea. I'll maybe start a Post Office account as there is one just round the corner from where I work - although like all Post Offices there is always a HUGE queue - why is that?? I like the idea of asking them to reduce it, i hadn't thought of that - Duh!! Once I get down to £500, which is part of my general account terms and conditions, i'll do that. it would be so lovely to see myself in credit rather than overdrawn.
Strangely, although I have now done the grisly figures, I feel really positive - I feel that I have taken control back a bit!
Oh yes, forgot £300.00 owed to solicitor forfinal steps of divorce last year. I am calling them to suggest a payment plan of £30.00 pm over the next 10 months. Not what they want, I'm sure, but it's better than nothing at all!! Bracing myself for car MOT tomorrow, really hope it won't need costly repairs. Am following tip on this site for Council MOT centres, so hopefully I won't get a mechanic sucking his teeth, shaking his head and saying dolefully "ooh, you need a load of work done here, love"!
    Thanks for the support, everyone....
