hi there got home and started to do the penny jar for my daughter, where I normally put in any coins up to 20p. Then thought - hang on, ehy not start a 20p jar for me to PAD with? So, £1.60 in my piggy bank, that will add up nicely. Have also started taking bus to work in the morning instead of the tube. Takes longer, but I start work really early so the traffic is not too bad - and have been putting the £12.50 I save from that every week in a tine, so £37.50 so far this year with this week's money put in. Taking the bus home too takes 2 hours ormore which makes my day just too long.... Looking at the ebay thread too, maybe a chance to sell some stuff. Did a car boot with a friend just before Christmas and made £76.00 which helped....reat to see how well we are doing all of us, every journey starts with baby steps!

    Omg..so many posts to read:confused:
But great to see that every one is so postive!:T

Wish I had the skills and determination to answer you all individually like fag ash & F-F.
Welcome to all newcomers..this is a great, but addictive challenge!! and also very supportive.
I have paid a huge £160.19 today... £150 was packback for dental treatment before Christmas...plus my daily money:j but I am counting from 01.01.09. Also, before this challenge I would have got that money back in my bank account and not paid it off:rolleyes:

Little bit concerned 'cos OH has put work equipment on the one and only shared cc... he promises to pay when he is paid:confused: ... but he did get some work last week and was paid cash...I now have £90 in my purse:j [STRIKE] [/STRIKE] so I can pay for shopping and petol from that and then have money in bank account to keep up with pads:j

    Take care peeps
We will NOT let the !!!!!!s grind us down!!

  • Hi all
£3.50 for me in honour of having lost 3 and a half pounds this week on the PAD diet. Went to the gym this morning and felt like I was going to die for 55 minutes (it was only an hour's class!) but feel really proud of myself for going especially as I was really naughty on Saturday evening and drank vast amounts of champagne at a friend's birthday. Well done Paybacktime - good for you. Are you finding it easy or not?

Hope you're all feeling well and rested.

Well done you too. Not finding it too hard and to be honest was pretty amazed with the loss this week, a couple of cream donuts did pass my lips! Biggest thing for me is I'm not drinking....How much do you want to lose altogether...or have you got another target?

Isn't life rubbish sometimes? I guess the way to think of it is "Imagine how much worse off you'd be if you hadn't made your PAD payments." The car would still need £510 worth of work, so you'd be more in debt rather than treading water for a month.

    Hope your luck improves. :)

    Thanks payback.
I'm off the drink too - though as I said I fell off the wagon spectacularly on Saturday night. But didn't have any yesterday and don't intend to for a while either.

My target is in my signature - 45LBS in all but have 10.5 done so far and have myself back at the gym to help make sure I get there. I'm not after miracle results; I did take a long time putting all this on so I'm guessing that its gonna take a while to take it off. I think it was the realisation that with DS2 at school I could no longer pretend it was baby weight and had to own up to it being curry, pizza and red wine!! :rotfl:

  • Hi all,

£2.19 to MINT CC for me today - really exciting to see it coming down and I really don't miss a couple of pounds everyday that I would have spent on magazines/coffee/nonsense anyway! :T
