afternoon all! cakes look lovely... best not, though - i've scoffed rather a lot of chocolate for someone who's supposed to be trying to lose some weight! :D

PAD for me today a surprising £1.18 :p

another no spend for me today, i think i might smash my target for this month. will have to get milk and a few other bits tomorrow but trying to use up absolutely everything before i do a "proper" shop.

very excited to discover that you can have up to 10 ing savings accounts, so have spent the last half an hour creating some more. so in addition to my "what if" account, i now have pots for car tax & insurance, christmas, kids, birthday presents & house insurance. four more if i need them, but that's all for now. may update my signature at some point if i can work out how to fit it all on (apparently allowed up to 6 lines but mine won't go any "bigger" than it already is ?? )

    happy sunday everyone! xx

Mortgage free as of 11/11/15 !
:Anow... to start some serious saving :A

    Afternoon everyone!!

Just got home from work and now have a pile of washing and housework waiting for me

All this talk of cake is making me hungry!! Any left for me?

tomtombeanie - how on earth will you keep track of all those accounts!!! I would get very confused!! :rotfl:

Only 68p in the sealed jar today, feeling very poor at the minute and OH and i are going away next weekend so need to try and watch the pennies.

Hope everyone has had a great day, i am going to look at opening an extra savings account to put money in for our move back to OHs hometown!! (dont get jealous we're only moving to the midlands!!)

in theory, it should be straightforward...every month i send £150 to ing when we get paid. i haven't been classing it as savings as such, because i dip into it when the kids need shoes or i buy a birthday present or renew house insurance etc. basically, it is the money we need to set aside each month to cover all the things that the new accounts are for, but if i just left it in our "normal" account it would get spend on god knows what. i am organised but not always disciplined, IYKWIM!

so i will still send £150 to ing every month, but then parcel it into the different accounts. it's really just like having 6 virtual piggybanks lined up in a row.

i'll let you know how i get on! x

    Hi everyone,

Not been around as working on decluttering via Ebay and Green Metropolis, or those things that I don't think will get me anywhere the local tip.

£2.08 into the pot for me today

Off now to wrap another Ebay parcel, only a couple of pound but they all add up.

    All the best
