    with the squares i have got my 9 yr old son knitting 20sts Double knitting wool for 20 ridges each side if you know what i mean.
    so if anyone wants to give him a hand please feel free :rotfl:HINT HINT

    these are the ones shellys son are doing for preemies uk at the mo so if you do them to that spec she can add them to the ones hes doing. further up on this page she has mentioned they should be done on 4mm needles

    different groups ask for different sizes so its just a case of checking on the first page for the guidelines of who wants what size.

    hope this helps

  • Knitting 20 sts by 40 rows (20 ridges each side) I get a square that is 4 inches, very quick and easy to do, especially on journeys, unless I have got it wrong lol!

    do you like a long tail left for sewing up? and well done to your son for knitting too :T :D
    Loving knitting for the Wooligans! :j my totals:

    Jellybeans
    22 baby hats ; 3 Teddies for Tragedies ; 15 buntings ; 9 boobs ; 2 baby blankets ;
    8 Innocent Smoothie hats ; 2 Scarves ; 4 Adult hats ; 6 Aaron squares ; 12 hedgehogs
  • :rolleyes2 I know babies are more important, but searching for a dog I came across
    http://www.nawt.org.uk/watford/news_show.asp?id=61 - they are in need of blankets and such things. I thought it might be a good way of using up really awful combinations of odds and ends of yarn!
  • Hi all,
    Have read somewhere that they need to be 7" squares, and also 8" squares knitted on 4mm needles?

    Do you just fold in half then turn a cuff up?
