Hello
this is not exactly a knitting thread but recently I read a thread asking people on the Royal Mail survey site for spare stamps , I dont use the larger value stamps and would be happy to send them to anyone to help with posting knitted items -can anyone let me have an address
thanks0 -
Hi Katy and thanks for your very generous offer. Shezmit on here runs Preemies UK and will be really grateful for help with the postage. She sends lots of parcels off to various hospital baby units and charities. I'll send you her address in a private message. As I can see you are fairly new to MSE (by the number of your posts!), your private messages can be accessed at the top of the page. Just click into 'private messages' and yours will come up. I'll pm the address now. Thanks once again! It's very kind of you and will be a huge help.

Just edited to tell you that Preemies UK also collects used postage stamps, too!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:

Hello all, yet another newbie here :j first ever post - anywhere - so please bear with me. I`ve been lurking around for ages keeping an eye on what you get up to, you are soooo busy.
My New Year`s resolution ( I know that was ages ago) was to get involved with something new......so I`ve landed up here.
Knitting`s not new for me as I have been doing it since I was 7 and I`m now  let`s just say for more years than I care to admit !! Doing it for charity isn`t new either as I have been doing that since the grandkids decided they wanted shop bought stuff. The new bit comes in with `going public` for a shy wee thing like me - but you seem to be a nice, friendly lot. I`ve really enjoyed reading all your posts and seeing all the lovely patterns ( had a giggle about the boobs, but must admit I would not have liked a midwife fiddling about showing me how to do it *blush*)
Sorry for rambling on - think I should go and have a lie down to calm my `nerves` - I don`t usually find it easy to talk to strangers, but I almost feel as if I know you.

Hi Kathy!
Seems like it's been a long time since I popped in here with intentions of help, but only just got around to it!
Could you please update me with 4 squares!
I'll do some more then get them posted off direct to save anyone else the trouble, probably split them between LH and Knit-a-Square.
Also, I'm not sure if it's Shez I need to ask, whether there are any preemie bits needed in Scotland? I'm in the Edinburgh, but if there's nothing nearby I can always post them or pass them on to friends who frequently roam the country!
Happy Knitting everyone - I'd also just like to echo the sentiment that you all seem like a very happy, welcoming family here, this place is wonderful!

Hi to all the newbies :hello:
It really is a lovely place here... Just like sitting in a knitting circle, but a few miles between us
If anyone lives near a Boyes store they have some great deals at the moment. Got some nice baby pastel colours for 89p a 100g ball. And they just happened to have large boxes of Anton Berg choccies reduced to £3 instead of over £8 - I *thought* about being an :A and leaving them on the shelf... for about 5 seconds :rotfl: Liqueur anyone? (I don't like those ones)
3 Hats and 2 Squares to be added for me please.
I've used all of the different colours I have knitting hats in one colour, now I'm doing one with white-pink-white-lilac stripes. It looks really good, but what a tangle I'm in with my wool! :embarasseTotals: 30 Buntings, 2 Gowns, 13 Chalky Squares0 -
