Hi everyone and thanks for your latest totals.

RedheadMum - it's up to you how you send your things. Obviously, it makes sense to save postage and send direct; some people send preemie things direct to their local hospitals (Shezmit will tell you which ones in your area need stuff). You could always add a little note explaining that you are knitting on behalf of other groups, if you want.

Well, I managed to crochet 2 preemie hats and 1 pair of bootees last night. They are so quick to do in crochet, and a little easier on my hands at the moment. I did a bit more on the blanket I am making for my grandchild-to-be, too.

Well, you've all been busy again so lots to update! Thanks to everyone!

PLEASE NOTE: Thanks to everyone for such a good response to Chalky's appeal for the orphanage in Spain. Her SIL has arrived with all our items, and they have been delivered to the orphanage. Chalky has posted some great photos on page 27 of this thread. I think we will have made a big difference to a baby who arrived there with nothing; doesn't it make you feel good?!

LATEST UPDATE: Don't forget to let me know if I get these figures wrong - as some of you know, it's not difficult for me to make a complete hash of it!

Rolo-polo, you obviously are better at time management than me:o , ive got a huge pile of ironing graring at me from the corner which MUST be tackled at some stage this week.

ive been knitting pieces for sack boys, i've got all the parts for one and head and body for the 2nd one - i'm planning on getting zips for these 2 (one for eldest DS and one for his besty mate) but if i do any more i think they will be zipless.

I've also got a school jumper for younest DS on my needles and a blanket square also for him these are MUST FINISH SOON projects.

    Morning!
Please can I be updated with 1 bunting. Have mopped the kitchen floor trying to keep busy while DH is at hospital having tests so am going to knit a bit now while also refereeing DSx2.
Maytaurus had a look at the pattern but they are on dpns - too hard for me at the moment but thankyou - you truly are a genius at digging up patterns and instructions.
    Still haven't done the ironing......

HI all. K2tog - you don't have to knit the mittens on dpns - it just saves having to sew up seams if you do. You can cast on the 48 sts as instructed on ordinary needles but, when you follow the pattern, treat each third of the stitches separately IYKWIM!

RoloPolo - are you sure you fed the kids and did all that housework?!! What a productive weekend you've had!

I shall update as usual in the morning. I hope to get some more little crocheted things done this evening. I am looking for the quickest easiest patterns to do to. I actually managed a whole pair of bootees without dozing off last night. DH was amazed!

    Have a great day, everyone.

Welcome to you hellsbells45 nice to see you, everyone here is really helpful and friendly :hello:

Kathy - nothing to update me with as I have been knitting for my 2 DGD's, who arrived on Sunday, they saw the hedgehogs and decided they wanted one each, and tiny teds, with scarves for them as its cold, so I had to knit them too, did'nt take long though 6sts, and knit until it went round the neck and tied then cast off, I stitched them at the back of the neck, like the Teddies for Tragedy, so they don't get lost ;)

While DS1, DILand DGD's are here DS1 will set my new laptop up, so I hope all will be ok on here, the Daily,L/H,Wooligans and Preemies I would hate to lose my name and all the rest,OH and DS keep telling me it will be ok but, not much of a techi me:o
They are staying here for the first week we are away then handing the keys to next door when they go home.

So this is my last post for 2 weeks, we are off to Spain at silly o'clock in the morning, so my knitting needles will get a little rest, until I come back.
Take care all and keep those needles clicking

RE 'Still haven't done the ironing'
I finally took the advise of my DIL (who gets my son to do her ironing:rotfl:) & stopped doing any 4 yrs ago now, unless it's something particular.
We just make sure we buy things that wash tumble & go in the wardrobe :rotfl:
It's stopped me stressing about not being able to do it because of my M.E.

    Pippa.S
any room in your suitcase for me? :rotfl:

I posted these links on another thread to knit a chick, bunny and other creatures for putting your your Easter cream eggs in if you can stop yourself from eating them that is :rotfl:
