thanks maytaurus, for the pm, have got the pattern now :j

    mrs moneypenny the pattern says

    K1, (inc 1) three times, K3, (inc 1) three
    times, K2. [18 sts]
i think this means k1, then increase 1 on the next three st's, knit 3, increase i on the nest three stitches, then k2

kathy can you update me 1 baby hat please

Hi all. Mrs Moneypenny, having studied the sack boy pattern, I agree with Shazrobo about what the instructions mean.

The pattern would only open for me once Maytaurus had pm'd it to me, so it must not suit some PCs.

Great tank cover, Maytaurus - I think I'll make one for my car! I don't think my DH would wear a pink uniform, though!

Well, I'm going to sit down and use up the rest of the peachy wool I found on some booties, mittens and a hat. I know I won't get them all done tonight but I'm going to do my best! I will take a break now and again to eat chocolate!

Hope you all have a great evening!

Hi all. Maytaurus - what fantastic links! Thanks so much for posting them. I'm collecting patterns to make things for the baby. I am in the middle of doing a crochet blanket at the moment; I'm doing it in white and will edge it with the appropriate colour once the baby is born (I have a sneaky feeling the border will be pink!).

Yes, the totals are absolutely amazing considering we are only halfway through February!

I have a baby hat and one pair of bootees to add, and I should have enough of the same wool left to make some mittens, too. The peachy coloured wool I'm using is really nice, so I may buy some more (although I really should bypass the wool shop for a while!).

Many thanks, everyone, and have a great Sunday!

PLEASE NOTE: Thanks to everyone for such a good response to Chalky's appeal for the orphanage in Spain. Her SIL has arrived with all our items, and they have been delivered to the orphanage. Chalky has posted some great photos on page 27 of this thread. I think we will have made a big difference to a baby who arrived there with nothing; doesn't it make you feel good?!

LATEST UPDATE: Don't forget to let me know if I get these figures wrong - as some of you know, it's not difficult for me to make a complete hash of it!

i`ve just been given a load of wool(i`m very good ,trying to use up stash, which keeps growing!!)
anyway ,this is 3ply baby wool, says it`s 100% wool on label. can i use it for preemies? think i heard somewhere that they prefer acrylic as it`s easier to wash.if so can anyone point me in direction for 3ply patterns?i have double knitting and 4ply!!
