Hello everyone, haope that you have all had a really good day. Kathy, could you please update me with 6 more squares and 2 more IS hats?

thank you so much for this site - i am so glad to have something to be concentrating my efforts on. My husband is rather pleased too as we now have a home for the hundreds of squares that i have knitted over the past couple of years.

hi everybody ,some of your conversations are very entertaining!
i too had e-mail from oec saying they can`t cope with any more squares, obviously this forum is a victim of it`s own success!!
wish i`d known you had loads of buttons,i wouldn`t have spent an hour sorting through my button box trying to find 3 that match!

Believe squares are still OK to go to Loving Hands, but might be worth emailing Lou to check.

Thankyou Kathy! You mean my blue bendy needle - I excel at technical terms :D . I'd have been scuppered weeks ago but for this lovely thread and the other nice threads on OS.
Can't believe I only stumbled across MSE because of those horrible Lapland New Forest people - every cloud and all that!
  • maytaurus - I'm trying to do one of those bunnys from a square. Looking at the instructions - I've done the head and ears - I've sewn up the back, put some stuffing in - now I'm stuck. I'm sure I'm just being thick but I don't understand what to do next. HELLLLLLLLLPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi all -

Sylvia - the chat that goes on here is lovely. I always think that, if we could all meet up in one big room, we would all get on so well, it would be as if we'd known each other for years!

K2tog - I call my needle my knitting-sewing-up needle. Until Mrs Moneypenny mentioned hers, I had forgotten that the technical term was 'bodkin'!

It's lovely to hear that you are all enjoying this thread and all the things we do. It's so nice to be able to do something we enjoy and help others. When I mentioned it to my Mum last year, she was really keen. She hates having to stop and do housework and so on! She told me the other day that she has made this knitting for charity her life's work, and that it's really enhanced her life.

I'm remain amazed and overawed by the enthusiasm and generosity of all of you. Without you, there's no way it would be so successful.

Thanks to all of you and have a great evening!

Good morning everyone. Hope none of you are being affected by the weather.

Maytaurus - I keep checking to see if you have applied to join the Wooligans on Yahoo! Have you tried yet?

Well, not much knitting done yesterday; DH was at home for most of the day and I find it so difficult to concentrate on anything because he keeps interrupting me for one reason or another! Anyway, I hope to have better luck today.

    Have a great day, everyone!

PLEASE NOTE: Thanks to everyone for such a good response to Chalky's appeal for the orphanage in Spain. Her SIL has arrived with all our items, and they have been delivered to the orphanage. Chalky has posted some great photos on page 27 of this thread. I think we will have made a big difference to a baby who arrived there with nothing; doesn't it make you feel good?!

LATEST UPDATE: Don't forget to let me know if I get these figures wrong - as some of you know, it's not difficult for me to make a complete hash of it!

Mrs Moneypenny -thank you so much for the info about the Alan Dart pattern. I love his designs; they're so clever. I shall be making one of those for my DGD who doesn't like chocolate, (no-one in the entire family knows where she gets that from!). It'll make a lovely Easter pressie - I'll make it with a pink and purple egg shell.
