Evening all
Hope your fevered activity washing all your curtains means you are feeling better Jean.
Have just done a couple of hedgies for Elaine, having found some furry wool lurking amongst my stash - just as well because Wilkinsons here never seems to have any anymore. Had forgotten how pleasant they are to knit.
Should be off to bed soon, but will probably do a few rows....;)0 -
Just got very confused as it said "yesterday" on the postings and then realised how late it is !!!
I have definately been very MIA of late - apologies all round.
It always gets a bit hecxtic as we prepare to leave for Spain, catching up with all the loose ends etc and hiding balls of wool in every available niche !!
However today I and to be fair my DOH who promised to give me a hand have been trying to post montages or collages of pictures on to it. Well
hours and hours of good knitting time has been wasted but we got there in the end !!!
I am still busy with my Lapacuddlyghan and I am getting to love it. I am going to give it to my nephews future wife as she gets so homesick living in Devon away from her Mum .
So my parcel for Lou is awaiting Parcels to Go tomorrow and parcel for Shelley on its way.
Please have a gentle thought, hug or a congratulations if I have missed loads whilst being otherwise engaged. Will try to get back to normal tomorrow
Sleep Well everyoneTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Well, almost back to normal round here! I'm so sorry I've been MIA all week but the time has just flown by. We have loved having our visitors but it's just as well they've gone, or the house would have needed more than Kim and Aggie (I wonder if they have a Kim and Aggie in France?!) to sort it out! If I don't do any ironing today, we'll have no clothes left to wear!
F1- there's been no chance of me running ragged here! I suppose it sounds hectic because we've managed to fit in quite a lot in the week, but, if the truth be told, I've done not much more than eat, drink, talk, talk, talk, and enjoy the sun - it's been a holiday for me, too!
Roamin - no update is pathetic, so please don't say that! We all lead busy lives (well, I didn't last week!), and we fit the knitting in when we can. No-one's under any pressure to make vast quantities of things - just one preemie hat will help someone in need.
I'll call back later - DH is getting up so I'd better get the kettle on!

Morning all
I have a list of things (proper non-knitting things) that I should be doing but don't really feel like it - have to see how far down the list I get.
I started a sleeping bag last night in the hope that I might grow to love knitting them but I think they are my least favourite thing so will finish it and then back to boobs and ongoing stuff with Xmas stockings in between I think. Really like the stockings, especially as I don't have to look at the pattern anymore. Have got a parcel for Elaine done up but probably won't get to post it today and probably should get some off to Shelley and LH. There is loads of stuff for LH but mostly preloved stuff my boys have grown out of and Xmas box things rather than knitting. Need some focus and less time doing chores and surfing
Where are you Pam? Hope you are OK.
Have a good day everyone.
PS Chalky, when are you going back to the sunshine?0 -
Doh has nipped into town so I am nipping on here just to say hello to all. After being computer bound yesterday struggling with images I dreamt them in my sleep last night!! But I am so chuffed we got some way to cracking it
Maytaurus I would still love your ideas as I am such a novice !! Thanks for answering my plea for help.
Well we go back on the ferry with the Sunshine Bus loaded on Sunday. We travel Plymouth to Santander but because of the credit crunch they only do 1 sailing time a week now. So its 22 hours on board then approx 11 hours down the long, long road to our little house-- Well, you can guess what I will be doing to while away the hours!!
I am sitting here hoping the Courier people don't leave me til last as my great nephew is visting his Grandma and I want a cuddle!!
I wonder if the Spanish knitting group will contact me this year- or perhaps I should contact them as they did so much to help all our causes last year.
I swing between excitement and a washing machine tummy as the transition is always difficult -- missing the family and friends etc. But as soon as we settle we love it and the impact of blue skies in the cold winter months cant be underestimated ohhhh and DOH converted the integral garage last year to a Craft Room for me so I don't have bits of wool etc everywhere like here at home. I love iy either way but he gets a bit tired of getting caught up in the strands and granny squares all over the floor as I plan the colourways
Lots of gentle loving thoughts as we start a new week and Congratulations to all those celebratingTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Morning all!!
I learned to knit this weekend woooop! Just need to keep practising0 -
Well done rachel - keep going - you soon wont be able to put the needles down!0

Well done rachel! chalky hugs for you with the transiton...I'm not great with change...Lodger has gone away until Thurs so we've agreed that I'll sort her books (thousands) to try and get her some more space - done loads already and its v. satisfying!! Hopefully she will be able to move by the time I've finshed. Am just going to do the books and shut the door on it!! She did buy me a bottle of wine to say thank you for making her welcome which was nice! Its certainly "interesting"!!
Did a couple of rows of fergs jumper last night and am determined to get to grips with granny square today...almost got it yesterday but fell at the last hurdle...chores first though and a snooze this pm is a must - still feel fluey and quite wheezy which I suspect is all the dust...!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
