    morning all,
lol re the clutter pile!! My little room now feels like home - a few boxes to find space for but otherwise its "me". Thanks re the comments - I just hoped that it would provide comfort to someone who may need it, as it did me IYKWIM.
Tried granny square last night but tiredness and vino collapsion not a good combination! Will go to the knitting shop and see if they can show me as need to go there anyway to sort out dates for the knitting groups and see if I can get their logo.
Lodger forgot that I was home so as soon as I stepped out of the room the burgler alarm went off as she had gone swimming! Will suggest abandoning alarm for now as downstairs neighbor will understandably be annoyed - esp at 7.45 on Sat am !!
Hope the head improves os....nothing worse. Miol what a good friend you are...maybe we should all come stay with you for a week?!
May I'm happy to try a pet blankie...will have a look at the patterns later...fergs jumper is still mia so will have a bash at it - wont be perfect but will be made with love! oo crossed posts dp...you will prob be quicker than me but if its an emergency blankie I have some squares done but it would be an odd match as various cols? What do people think?
found Fergs jumper...had fallen down back of bed so with assistance of hanger got it back!! hurrah!

  • Thanks to In Search of Me for telling me about the group. I don't live far from Roath.

My first week and I have managed to produce:

    2 cardis
    2 hats
    1 pair bootees

It may have been more had I not made my left index finger so sore that it bled, it's been soooo long since I did any knitting.

  • Hi all:) ISOM what lovely words, thank you for them. I have enjoyed reading all the lovely posts on here. Would anyone know of a pattern for two needle socks? It seems to be a difficult pattern to find. I have bought lovely sock wool and would really love a pattern to start knitting them, for Christmas presents for some of my family. Thanks in advance Margaret xx

Well done Always Poor and hello Margaret.
Found this 2 needle sock pattern on knitting pattern central - well worth a browse

There is a Sirdar 2 needle sock pattern that they show for their crofter (looks like fair isle) yarn.

Hi Margaret - here are a couple of sock patterns done on 2 needles.

Well sun is shining here today so I`ll maybe go and do some tidying up in the garden, it`s bound to be raining on Monday as it`s the local holiday and it nearly always rains then so that will be `reserved` for inside jobs ;)

As Lou from LH said the other day, she is sending me a knitting machine to try- have to find somewhere to put it  - help that means I`ll have to go and clear a space somewhere for it. Don`t know how I`ll get on with it but I`ll try anything once.

Off to have a sandwich and a browse through some patterns to see what the next project could be
Have a good day everyone, and I`ll pop back later.

    Hi all

Just a quick post for this week's update:-

    3 gowns
    3 hats
    17 Christmas stockings

Been lurking and reading (though not posting) but feel for everyone going through tough times.

ISOM - have been praying that your new lodger will become a friend and although could not replace your preciours cats, will bring a new richness to your life. Great that you get a new stash of wool for setting up the knitting circle.

    Take care everyone

    Helen

  • Heldun thank you for prayers...much needed.I am a firm believer that there is "a plan" in everything and I think that my lodger is in need of friendship, support, patience and compassion and is here for a reason.I hope that I can be a support and help her to see that some people are lovely...some things she's said are so sad and make me want to cry tbh. Prayer will be needed though!
Went to craft club but felt belugh so sorted the details for knitting group which I will sort tomorrow. Going to have a quiet day here - feeling a bit bleugh...am going to go into the shop during the week to learn the granny square...was too busy today and then next monday is the first group!! eek!! Before that will set up a blog and give details of the groups and phone people who want to come to give them details!!!!

Hi Heldun, you've been missing for a while!
Have decided the time has come to update so going to work out the figures. Will possibly give Mioliere a headache but I'll blame the vino she's been drinking :D
