Hi everyone. Just a quickie before I wake the visitors up. They leave today and want to make an early start for the ferry. It's been a fun-packed week in great company, and I hope they have enjoyed it as much as we have. Well, they are already planning next year's visit!
Once we've waved them off (along with the £100 worth of wine they bought from the vineyard, lots of cheeses, garlic, and the potatoes they fell in love with!), I shall have a quick clear up because we are going to a fundraising book fair in a nearby village, and then I suspect we will be having an early night - we've had late nights all week!
Thanks for the amazing updates! I shall add them all to the running totals over the next couple of days.
I'm sorry I haven't kept up with the thread properly for the last week or so, but that will change this week and I'm really looking forward to catching up with you all.
(((Hugs))) to you all and I hope you have a great day. Will pop back in later.

Are you watching F1Singapore?
Puffball recipe sounds yummy, ...... a bit expensive if I had to go to Kathys to get them tho!
Thanks for thinking of puppy, he’s still outside but poor little thing just seems to have accepted that barking, crying doesn’t get him anywhere, which is sad in itself
It really does upset me especially when I go out with my 3 & he gives us a little woof of acknowledgment, then we go back inside to get cosy & he’s still out there on his own
re: dpns & circulars ........ you could put them on ebay or give them to the charity shop
There really are peeps that actually use them

It doesn’t have to be anything special dpixie,
In Search Of Me
It would be great if you could do a blankie, as I said to dpixie, it doesn’t have to be anything special.
Please have a look at the links
Re; ‘found Fergs jumper...had fallen down back of bed so with assistance of hanger got it back!! hurrah!’

morning all...well a day of peace this end but much to do...have to do all the set up for the knitting group, clean house which still smells of cat wee-didnt want to do the carpet until most of lodgers stuff in. A learning things about myself too-didnt realise I was a bit of a clean freak and, unlike lodger, dont like clutter - neither of which I realised before but am trying to be good and compromise - ie not cleaning her things like mugs which I am dying to bleach!!! One of my aims while she is here is to see if I can get her to declutter a bit though because she literally cant move!!!
Will do you a blankie with pleasure May - can you pm your address? I have squares here and sure people wont mind them being donated to an alternative cause!! How big shoud I do it?
Hope you have a good rest miol...lovely to have friends but even lovlier when peace is restored...not to mention liver!!
granny square is sort of getting there but will try again with light wool!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
Morning ladies
Maytaurus - yes I will be watching F1 - re: dpns & circulars - for now they will be in bottom of box (I have not given up hope of actually conquering them;)) but if they do get given up I will ask you ladies first - some of them are in really old cardboard wrappers by old neighbour gave them to me - since we moved I have started the knitting - she is very pleased with me but somewhat upset that I couldnt knit whilst next to her otherwise we could have knitted together - she knits for her local hospital for many years (bless her she is wonderful)
isom - I just read about the clutter - ooohh I couldnt cope I like everything in a place (even if the clutter is in a cupboard:rotfl:) I dont like untidy - yesterday DH brought a guy from work home with him - I started cleaning at 9.30 & stopped at 2.00 (DS & I did pop to shops during this time as well though ...) I twitch if DS has his toys all in living room :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:- DS says I have a cleaning fetish !!!!!
kathy - there is always so much going on in your village etc - but I am a little worried you are running yourself ragged - take care xx
roamin - thinking of you & hope you will be soon feeling better xx we miss you xx
Well I had better get on (with not much ....) I will update later have not done for a couple of weeks - hugs to all those that need one - have a good Sunday Jaqui xxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0
