    Morning everyone,
Just looking through the Lidl leaflet for Thursday 12th February, they have some offers for wool, knitting needles & crochet hooks. (You can get cheaper wool from other places but some of the wool have patterns as well). Some of the wool may be suitable for making hedgehogs, that is priced at £3.90 per pack of 4 x 50 grm + pattern.
    Happy knitting & crocheting.

    Hi everyone

DPixie - I'll add your hats when I update tomorrow morning. Here are some knitting patterns for blankets. http://www.knittingpatterncentral.com/directory/baby_blankets.php

The hand puppet pattern is really easy so do have a go! I've made one in a creamy colour but they can be done in any colour really.

SGT - thanks for the info about Lidls!

Hope everyone is having some of the sunshine we have here!

    Hi

DPixie - I am knitting a VERY easy blanket at the moment which I found here.

    http://www.bbc.co.uk/stoke/content/articles/2006/04/15/easy_baby_blanket_with_lace_feature.shtml
Simple garter stitch, knitted on the diagonal.

What better way to spend a snow day than knitting?

I'm really impressed with the wool from B&M
it's much better quality than some I have paid at least twice as much for.
    I've just finished this
bolero pattern in the pale blue for my mum, who as you know has Alheziemers,
so it's ideal for her with having no buttons :j

Good morning everyone. I hope you are keeping warm!

Maytaurus - thanks for the link to that lovely bolero. It looks like DK - is that right? Lots of (((hugs))) to your Mum; I'm sure she'll find the bolero really useful and easy to slip on and off.

Well, today I hope to have some uninterrupted time - it's been one of those weeks again when, no matter how hard I try to organise some free time, something happens to interfere with my plans!

Pippa - I hope you are not too sore after your fall?

I wish we had a B&M near us - I'd love to try some of the wool that everyone likes!

PLEASE NOTE: Thanks to everyone for such a good response to Chalky's appeal for the orphanage in Spain. Her SIL will have arrived by now with all our goodies!

LATEST UPDATE: Don't forget to let me know if I get these figures wrong - as some of you know, it's not difficult for me to make a complete hash of it!

hi maytaurus, the bolero looks lovely, i'm sure your mum will love it.
the light blue from baby wool is such a gorgeous shade, i love knitting with it, and everyone at my craft groups comment on how beautiful it is.

my kids off school again, so only easy bits of knitting will get done, as and when the kids allow
