I have just fumbled accross this thread, and wanted to say what a fantastic campaign.
I'm moving house in a month so have no spare time whatsoever at the moment, but I hereby promise in 6 weeks time I will return, and do my bit for such worthy causes.

You are all such wonderful people.

Hi Zippitty - I do freelance writing so I'm usually at the computer! I check MSE every so often because it keeps me going!

Shezmit - thanks for the info about the blankets. I didn't realise we could do 15" blankets, as well.

Well, I did take my knitting under my blanket - did two rows and promptly fell asleep! Still, DH is already home from work so I shall do an early dinner and get a good couple of hours of knitting and sewing up done this evening!

Good morning everyone; hope you are all warm and safe.

Maytaurus - thanks for all the links! I've just noticed what time you posted - hope you managed to get some sleep.

I haven't heard from Chalky, but I would imagine she's busy now because her SIL will be with her and they probably have a lot to catch up on. I'm sure she'll post soon.

Shez - I'm still working on the teds; I'd hoped to have got them back to you by now but I'll probably post them on Friday/Saturday.

I haven't knitted anything since the teddy hand puppet. but will probably crochet a couple of baby things over the weekend. I really must post some photos, too.

Anyway, here's the latest update. The totals are looking amazing, aren't they? Thanks everyone!

PLEASE NOTE: Thanks to everyone for such a good response to Chalky's appeal for the orphanage in Spain. Her SIL will be on her way there soon with all the goodies!

LATEST UPDATE: Don't forget to let me know if I get these figures wrong - as some of you know, it's not difficult for me to make a complete hash of it!

Morning all, hope that you are all well and warm.

Kathy, can you please add 3 IS hats for me. I think my challenge for today will be to try and have a go at the teddy bear hand puppet. Will go for a walk later this morning and drop past the wool shop for wool in an appropriate colour.

I also like the idea of knitting a baby blanket, but do need the simplest of patterns - i have a mind like a sieve and can loose my place in a pattern too easily - any ideas?

    thanks all
