morning all, lovly to see roamin, and lc posting again, hope your family has more good luck in future.
son who was ben bullied last night, came home and said, they are going to arrange for daniel to stop learning vehicle maintainance, and learn construction instead, that way he won't get hurt. daniel so wants to learn mechanics, and loves the vehicle maintainance lessons, so why should he be moved to construction instead, when he has no interest, and it will have no benefit on his future career? to say i was fuming :eek:is an understatement. to me its like the teaches are giving the bullyies there own way, so i rang the school and spoke to danny's key worker.
she was really pleased i had rang her, and informed her what had happened, and she too said she is sick of the naughty kids getting there own way just to keep the peace. she has promised me, she is going straight to the head over this matter, and see if daniel can be reinstated for motor mechanics, and the bully be removed to construction.
lovely to see you posting here lou, you are such an inspiration to us, after all you have been thru, will try and get some more boobs done, once i finished the big clown and men's slipover, also enjoying making the socks for the challenge, they are my portable project, that i can put in my handbag and take anywhere.
hugs to those that need them

Good Morning all --- special hugs and thoughts to all -- Surely soon we shall all have some more celebratory news like Pippas' wonderful Grandson or the safe arrival of the little Summers but until then gentle thoughts to all those feeling sad, down or just fed up. Lovely to see the "newbies" and some MIA " oldies" posting.

Morning all,
Chalky - have fun in padstow.
Shazrobo - that is so unfair on your son, why should he have to move class, (makes my blood boil.) Hope they sort it out for him soon. I can't say where I'd like to put the bullies as to polite. ((hugs))
ISOM - Hope you feel more positive soon, it must be so hard having to say goodbye to your cats, good luck with your lodger. Sending you lots of gentle thoughts for today.

Afternoon averyone!!
I haven't been able to post for a while, but have been lurking and keeping up to date with everyones news and progress. My dance teacher has been away and for my sins I was volunteered to take the classes in her absence, so haven't always had chance to post. She is back home today, so now I am back to normal. However, the knitting has continued, and I tried to do things that were fairly small and quick to finish. I've been knitting the Beanie hats from Operation Christmas child website. They are really easy and quick to do and use up oddments if you make them with stripes. I hope to be able to post an update this weekend, I haven't done one for a few weeks now.
Hugs and kind thoughts to all who need them today.

Hello knitters,
I hope someone can help. I'm doing some Thomas the Tank Engine squares and have come across something in a pattern I don't understand.
http://frogiezplace.blogspot.com/2008/07/little-tank-engine.html
Row 6 says and all even knit, does that mean I just knit that whole row without gaining or decreasing?

Lovely pattern - might have to try that myself once I have finished crocheting the base of my first boob!

I think it means that row 6 and all other even rows (8, 10, 12 etc) are just plain knit with no pattern/increases etc.
I'm not an expert though, so maybe wait til someone more certain comes along. Let us know how it turns out.0 -
