thankyou all for the comments on bullying. yes it seems he gets bullied then takes it out on me. have got a meeting in school re the incident with the lighter, its a special school that he attends, and there are more staff to pupils than a mainstream school, but i guess staff cant have eys in the back of their head either.
may, loved the pics of the twins, brought back memories of when mine were that little, (14yrs ago now, where does the time go), will have a look at the links too, thanks.
hope everybody has a good day

Hi folks
Sorry I haven't been around in a while. Thank you all for your concern. I'm ok... just so tired. Sarah has gotten a house about a mile from me, and of course has been really busy getting her stuff up from London. Some of her furniture down there didn't belong to her, so she's had lots of running around shopping. This has meant all my usual help has been kept busy helping her and looking after the two little ones, so it's been a bit harder than usual. On top of this I've had flu
Haven't even done any knitting for the last two or three weeks, but things should be back to usual in the next week or so.
Everyone is out of hospital and on the mend. Carole is managing to get around a little on crutches. Alan got thrown off the sick last week by the benefits department, even though he hadn't even had the go-ahead to return to work from his consultant. He's a self-employed builder and when he finally saw said consultant yesterday he was most unimpressed with DS thinking he should be lifting etc. :rolleyes:. He phoned DS and explained that he had also just suffered a heart attack a couple of weeks ago and they seemed a little taken aback. Anyway, he has to put in an appeal.
I haven't had time to read through the posts much, but it seems as though I am far from being the only one with problems at the moment, so (((((((hugs))))))) to everyone who needs one.Totals: 30 Buntings, 2 Gowns, 13 Chalky Squares0 -

Finally got a parcel sent off yesterday. It's taken me months to actually remember to pick up a box for them... and then a whole big bagful wouldn't fit in it :mad: so I'll have to wait until I can get a parcel bag.Totals: 30 Buntings, 2 Gowns, 13 Chalky Squares0 -

I really don't believe this family's luck. Sarah just fractured her toe! She and her other half (Fadi) were unpacking a new washer and poor Fadi dropped it on her :eek:. She has to go to get blood drawn from it tomorrow, but apart from that they don't actually do anything else - Just as well, because I could see her giving Fadi a good kick with the cast :rotfl:. Lucky for him he's back off to London today as he's still working down there until he can find a job up here (not too easy to find hotel management jobs here unfortunately
)

Hello everyone
Well it always pcks up pace at this time of year as we prepare to go back to Spain. Believe it or not things are a bit slower than usual because DOH has also broken his toe! It really must be catching DD2 Is still hobbling and now I have 2 hobbledy hoes !! L.C.Wilson it really must be painful for your friend.
Welcome to all the newbies -- Orkney Star you feel a partof us already so I hope the others feel at home very soon.
Kathy -- I know exactly how you feel -- We love visitors in Spain but it is also lovely to have a quiet routine.
Reading the posts since our return from North Devon I think lots of people need some gentle thoughts and big hugs. I hope brighter days follow the dark ones . Love to the Mums worrying. I think September is often a difficult time in schools. Hope the bullying stops really soon.
I have managed to pack up parcels for Shelley and Loving Hands today so I am really pleased that is done
Still enjoying crocheting at the moment and have grown to love the Lapacuddlyghan I am working on at the moment.
Thanks for all the info and take care everyoneTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
In haste as must get to bed...another non stop day but on the knitting front have been asked to arrange the knitting group in exchange for wool!! hurrah! No actual knitting done mind you! Tough day...tenant wants to start moving stuff in tomorrow so need to sort contract and house instructions...aamongst clearing and sorting cat wee! Cats go at 2 so for those that believe please pray...lots of tears shed today and many more to follow I suspect as the reality of no "babies" sinks in...been so busy that thereebeen no time to think but chatted to best friend and more tears...good for puss cats as they will be happy, spoiled, much loved and settled but I will miss them...desperately. Trying to avoid the black hole but its harder some days than other isnt it eh...off to bed...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1!
