Mrs Moneypenny - Wow ! lovely blanket - well done you, do I remember you saying it was to be raffled off? I'll bet the school will be delighted.
by the way, your link is missing the leading "h" - perhaps if you just edit it it'll work! or you may have to take the link out and redo it!

the letters down the sides are the first letters of the soldiers names that the 7 'houses' are named after. The houses are all named after local soldiers that died in the 1st world war, every year the students visit the war graves and lay weaths on behalf of sth wigston in memory of what the soldiers did for us. The colours i used are the house colours (each soldiers initial is on the 1st square of his colour).
glad you all like it, im doing the edging and seewing that on before i take it into school

kathy, i will try to put the link to the easy crochet pattern here. and i can definitely confirm that it is very easy, as i was able to do it no problem. i think you could also play around with this to get slightly different effects.

Thanks for that, DPixie. Have printed it off.
Mrs Moneypenny - that blanket is gorgeous. Well done!
I can vouch for how nice the ripple blanket pattern that Prfungi posted is. I made one in icecream colours for my new grandchild and I loved how well it turned out.

Wow, what a lot of work in that lovely blanket Mrs MP!
There you are Shelley! I'm just finishing up a Christmassy looking boob because I think you still need those although I can't remember when the boob deadline is?0 -

Beautiful blanket Mrs Money-penny. Well done.
I have just finished my first angel gown, and it looks nice. I think I will do some more of DS's cardigan today and then perhaps knit something else preemie.....perhaps a nice hat or bootees....or maybe that ventilator cap I mentioned before (although I wonder if these have limited use as apparently some hospitals cannot use them). Perhaps will even be brave and try some crochet.....watch this space lol.
I love this thread!
