As I am keeping he house quiet for DOH who is still out for the count I am still practising the stitching. So here is my second attempt at a needle case.
This one I used Commercial felt -- It was much easier but I think I prefer the rustic look of the dyed wool better. Whilst away on the wedding tour I popped into a National Trust shop and they were selling these for £4.50!!!!!! so I thought I could easily copy their idea. I have a lot of neices, friends etc who they will be perfect for so I sent for the labels from a seller on Ebay. I found some little red seed beads but would still love some others for the Green apple if you are sure you dont mind popping them in the parcel ISOM.

-- I don't know how the Fund for the Cold Cot is going but it seemed an enormous amount to raise. I for one don't mind if you transfer the money I donated to postal costs. Of course you might not want to do this and everyone else who has donated would have to agree but thought it might be an idea.Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi Chalky
thankyou
the cold cot money is at £28 which is good at the moment but i would like to keep this going as its a great way to save 5ps, But thankyou for the mentioning it that you don't mind me using it for the postage funds, At the moment all of the cold cot money is in a bank account which i know its safe in there,
With the postage funds i like to fundraise as much as possible as i have to prove to people where the money is going when the donate.
Ebay is a great way of fundraising as its help me to get rid of loads of bits and pieces which i have found around the house which is not being used, And it stops my hubby moaning about all the rubbish hanging around LOL but he knows all the money is going to a great cause and helps the babies, I actually found a broken nintendo Ds and i put it on ebay and raise £26 which is brill,

Chalky - that's really fantastic! They'll make great pressies, won't they?
Pippa - you Mum sounds lovely! Thanks for the (((hugs))). Jean in France was right - housework takes your mind off things. I've gone mad today sorting things out (mainly to make room for all my wool, now that my Mum and sister increased my stash for me.) I'm sure I won't live long enough to get through it all!
Shez - you've just reminded me that I haven't sent you my 5ps. I will do that this week, promise! It's for such a good cause, isn't it?
ISOM - I love the aliens singing happy birthday! My DS1 has his birthday (38, yikes - where did all those years go?) next Monday (same day as me!) so I will be able to email it to him. It seems there are a few of us Virgos on here!
Well, I hope you have all had some good weather today. It's been Meditteranean hot here for the last two days so surely some of it will work it's way over to the UK. I've been helping DH sort out one of the barns (that's not meant to sound pretentious - just that there are a lot of barns in France!). It's an open-ended one which we use to store his trailer and our neighbours' caravan. They've just come back from a week away in it, so we cleared it all out while the caravan was out of it, and it has left enough room for my car to go in to it, too.
Well, I've got the dinner on - believe it or not, it's a roast despite the weather; we just fancied one!

Hi peeps, here I am, sorry I’ve not been communicating this last week, I’ve been in a dark place, but am feeling more myself now.
PamsPal has been jollying me along over the weekend so I have finally planted up my flowerbed and we sat yesterday afternoon and finished off half a dozen baby cardis I had tucked away. I also cracked on with the baby blanket for a friend, its looking good now, 2/3 done so I now feel its achievable.
Kathy, sorry, I didn’t do an update last week, I think there are maybe half a dozen posts to pick up. I’m happy to sort it this week – now my brain’s awake again – as I know where I left off, is that OK with you?
In Search of Me and OnlyGirl , sorry Its late !
‘bye for now
luv
