Hi all- has anyone heard from Pam (Prfungi) lately? I've just checked and her last post on here was 24th August but I can't see any mention that she was going on holiday or anything like that. Pam - hope you are OK?
Lovely links, Maytaurus - thanks for posting them.

Morning,
Don't know if this will be of any use to people learning to crochet, but in the C00p this week there was a magazine called "the Art of Crochet".
Cost was 99p.Included 2 balls of wool,4mm hook and a video of how to start. This is the first of a part work that will be expensive, but this issue for 99p seemed good value.

Morning all.
Oh dear, another grey and dismal day here. It rained all day yesterday and looks as though we are going to get the same again today. Still, on the bright side, once all the jobs had been done - 4 loads of washing, 3 hours ironing and a quick tidy up - I spent the rest of the day knitting. A rare luxury for me. Even got DH involved - he was winding wool from cones into balls. So think it might be the same again today.
Hope everyone is OK. Will post a separate update (not much on it though) next.
KInd thoughts to those who need them and best wishes to the birthday girls.

Take care everyone, ilovetea x. I will get back to it. From memory, the first issue was 99p and then it came out weekly at #2.99, but after about week 4 you had to order it. Each issue had a ball of wool, about 4/5 patterns in and a pattern for the squares, a tutorial and mishaps section. In a way, you probably get more for your money than with the knitting mags. It's a nicely produced thing and good to have a lovely browse through but now there are so many instructional youtubes... Might see if I can find the first part and have a look.
