Morning all,
Mioliere, your grandchildren are beautiful, I bet you can't wait to come back to see them again. I never lived near my grandparents but i always knew they loved me and would be there if I needed them and I'm sure your Grandchildren feel the same.
Chalky, What great news for your little hedgie's and they all got to stay together for a while longer too. Friendship blanket looks wonderful and I love the little hearts, thank you for putting in so much effort for all of us. Buster is sooo cute.
Pippa, enjoy your shopping.
Maytaurus, Thanks for your colourful posts, they are a tonic. Hope your are having some good days.
K2tog, well done on the stash sorting, I really must get mine more organised, as for having wip's lying around I started a short sleeve cardi for the summer(ha ha) and still haven't even done half the back, I can't even remember where I am on the pattern, might get it done by next summer( fingers crossed).
Well off for a cuppa now, enjoy your days all and big (((hugs))) to all who need/want them.x:jWooligans Totals 2010:

What a fab result with the hedgies Chalky!
Onlygirl, I am so bad with my WIPs I seem to always be knitting for the opposite season - finished a lovely autumnal type top at the end of spring!
Off to a family thing now. Will catch up properly later.0 -

Hi to all. Can not bear the dumb down version of X Factor so just catching up with you all
Here is a picture of the dyeing so far -- lots of plans for it -- now need the time. Have a google of Madeleine Millington and the applique work she creates which is the direction we would like to go in to raise funds for DDIL and her Open University CourseTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Only Girl - thank you for your kind comments about my grandchildren. I think they're all beautiful but, of course, I'm biased!
Shaz - I hope your struggles get easier. (((Hugs))) to you.
Chalky - what fabulous colours. You'll have to tell us how you achieved them.
Well, I've had a shower and am just about to settle down to some knitting while watching Patrick Swayze (for me) and Halle Berry (for DH!).

evening me lovelies...lovely post as always maytaurus...the shawl is getting there..just need to suss the edging and I'm done..want to get it finised for next w/end so I can give it to my cousin.
For those that believe in the man up stairs prayers would be appreciated...cant say owt as people know I post on here; suffice to say that family and friends have showered me with love and I have been bowled over by the amount of love, support and generosity I have received. Its my 40th in 20 minutes and despite the tough times am determined to celebrate it....squares not progressed but wil have time next week I hope. Chalky mum has done, I think, a few r the log cabin squares and I have at east 4 little squares to send and they will all come after next w/end as bday celebration proper next sat so mum will bring them then!
So...life I am told will begin in 17 minutes...certainly not the start I anticipated at the start of the year but am sure some of you will agree that the love of those around you helpsNerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
ISOM - Happy Birthday to you. 40 is not so bad, I promise, although mine seems years ago! I hope you have a good day despite your setbacks, and I'm so pleased you have the support of loved ones.
F1 - Good luck to Fisi! How exciting for everyone involved! I'll look out for his name.
Well, everything feels back to normal after our trip away although I'm missing everyone like mad and can't wait to go back! I did a huge pile of ironing yesterday and was pleased to get it out of the way. I've almost finished my knitted square for Knit a Poem and hope to start on the crochet one today. As they're 'blanks' they're a bit boring to do but worth it for the finished result.
I've sorted out all the wool I came back with - it filled a huge plastic box but had to be squashed in! In my ideal home I would have a great big room with clear plastic boxes each filled with separate colours but I think I'd have to win the lottery to be able to achieve that! I suppose I could always use the barn but the spiders are still in there!
