Do you want a picture of lump as is at the moment or lump when finished? lol

You are all skilled knitters :D

I know i'm ignorant, but if my knitting and crochet ever gets better what are we making and what do we do with them?

Hi, you could do a sort of before and after series of pics if you would like lol! :D

re what to start knitting, the baby hats are pretty easy and simple, as are the baby burial buntings, which are on the preemies site - thats what i started off with and you can progress after that to different things when you feel more confident.

Once you have finished a few items, then I think if you send a PM to Shezmit, she will send you the address to post items to.

    Morning all :hello:
Got a day to myself today,OH is off doing some running repairs on a friends house soooo what to do

I have so much on pins and hooks again at the moment, I really must get myself sorted
I still havent finished the 2nd ripple blanket, seem to have lost interest and cant settle to it dont know why
Got a jumper and sleevless top on pins and have started a little crochet purse, dont know if its right but I saw a pic of one on here and guessed the size, looks ok though, a friend gave me some crochet cotton so I thought that was a good thing to do with it.

:wave:welcome back OnlyGirl glad you had a good time, shame about the comp though but at least you are back with us now :D My laptop is Vista the old one was XP, seems ok but I dont do much on it now, the thing I dont really like is the way the photographs work, but I dare say I will get used to it.... eventually ;)

Delain - you will soon get the hang of it, we all have to learn, it takes time, but a skill once learned is never forgotten, and is so worthwhile :D

Hi everyone. Just logging in to say 'I'm back'! We had the most wonderful break and my new granddaughter is just gorgeous, very much like her mum at the moment with the odd bit of DS2 thrown in! I've had lots of cuddles, pushed the pram (I love pushing prams!) and really enjoyed her as much as I could. DIL is recovering really well considering what she went through; she looks great and DS2 is taking great care of both his girls. It was very painful having to leave them but we are already planning our next trip back. It was great seeing everyone else, too. I've missed them all, especially DGS and DGD1, so it was lovely to catch up. I was introduced to three new nieces who are also gorgeous, and caught up with loads of family. Our friends' daughters' wedding was lovely - horrid weather right up until the photos, then the sun came out and the rain held off, so they were really lucky

I've knitted a dozen IS hats which were easy to do as a passenger in the car and on the boat. I was knitting while we sat in the recliner lounge and had a family with four daughters watching every stitch! They were really sweet. I've also come back with loads more wool so I think I've enough to last until the next trip! I bought some from my favourite wool shop, a big bagful from my Mum and another big bagful from my sister.

I see we have a new member. Welcome to you Delain - I haven't caught up with the thread for the last few days but I bet all the others on here have made you really welcome.

Chalky - the blanket looks fantastic. All the squares are great and you've sewn them together beautifully. You should be very proud of yourself. It's been great to be a part of something so lovely.

Well, I will catch up tomorrow - we're still unpacking but it will be nice to get back to normal and I'll have more time tomorrow. I've really missed coming on here!

Pam - thank you so much for updating in my absence; I really am grateful for all your time and trouble. Over the next few days I'll take a good look at that blog site you've mentioned, and see about starting a blog.

I never seem to be able to post photos on here but I'll put some of the baby on the Wooligans tomorrow or the next day. I'm sure no-one will mind that, will they?!

I hope everyone is keeping well and will catch up with you all tomorrow.

Pam - I've just read the thread quickly and like your Scribd thingy! The whole update is getting massive, isn't it? I can't believe how productive everyone is!

Gingernutmeg - just welcoming you back. I see you are set on breaking your fantastic record last year for IS hats!

For all those who have been poorly or have been nursing poorlie ones, I hope everyone is better now. The same for those who have painful shoulders.

Also, before I go, thank you for all your lovely good wishes for my new granddaughter - they are really appreciated.

Well, I'm definitely off now. See you in the morning.

It must have been so hard to leave them moliere, but just think, in a very few years all the grandchildren will be able to come over to you in school holidays. Nice to hear about the loads of wool as well.

Shezmit it's amazing £50 on postage, and most of the things have already been posted to you, they'd go out of business without us! Did you make a tooth pocket fairy?

    Hi everyone

I have dear son and his wife here at the moment and we are busy dyeing woollen blankets for a project she has in mind to help her finance her way through an Open University degree so there are bucket loads of dye everywhere and of course the adorable Buster!! He is loving us being home from the Sunshine Bus travels so the he can spend time here and everyone has lost their hearts to him.
So I am grabbing the odd minutes for sewing up all your lovely squares and here is Elaines Friendship blanket finished. I added the hearts as I thought it has been knitted with such loving thoughts and the crochet edge finishes it off really well. So yet again thanks for all the squares which have been amazing
