It worked for me too Pam :T

What are you thinking? Just have a small `update post` with a link to the new page, and maybe Maytaurus`s links etc instead of having a HUGE long post taking up most of the page for that day :rotfl:? Seems like a good idea to me.

Well, that`s another c**p week almost finished. DS came home early on Sunday night as he wasn`t feeling well. Monday he had a RAGING temperature and he`s been in bed with flu all week. As he has a dodgy valve in his heart which is due for replacement, the doc prescribed Tamiflu - with all the side effects included !! He seems to be a bit better now tho`. Just hope DD and I don`t catch it.

Off to help son in law tomorrow with wallpapering DGD`s bedroom with the `splodgy` paper - he had an op on his knee the week before Jim died and can`t do all the jumping up and down. They saw a rug which would look great in the bedroom but it was nearly £50 . DD told DGD to ask Grandma to knit one - apparently it looked like silver/white/black hedgie wool :rotfl:
Anyone got a Wilkinsons nearby with that sort of wool going cheap ????

    Whatever next !!!

Great minds think alike, Elaine you're spot on, just what I was thinking - the links info plus the overall totals, with all the details posted on the new page. It would let us sort out the details a bit better.

Sorry you DS has been down with 'flu - yuck! Please pass this on!

Are you sure you want to knit a rug? There's a couple of Wilkinsons within driving distance of me & I'd happily source you some eyelash if they have any left @ .10p - I've just checked their website and it still on there at .97p, not sure what the delivery is. Just to mention the "K" word - Kemps have a lovely dark blue/black/silver ZANZIBAR http://www.kempswoolshop.com/wool_details.aspx?selectedItemID=1019089488 @.59p a ball.

Let me know if you want me to look in Wilkos.

  • Pam, the link to the list of goodies we have achieved worked fine for me, sorry to hear your not to have cream cakes sausages etc. I limit my egg intake to two on a Sunday in a croisant! Makes up for not having them during the week.
I was up most of last night seems I have caught some kind of bug, then this morning big daft dog has been sick - hope she hasn't caught that from me and it was just her bolting down her food.
Elaine, goodluck with the decorating - I do it all on my own otherwise it just ends up a huge big arguement, learnt a long time ago its much easier to just get on with it.
Jaqui, hope your having some quality time today while wee one is missing.
I love Tea - nice to see you pop in. No doubt loads of folk are lurking, just don't want to take part - well go on we won't bite. Cuddles to everyone, back a bit later when I have the rib to the gent's jumper done at least. - ha ha

  • I don't know if this has already been posted or not (or even if this is the right thread to mention this) BUT I was in my local branch (Northampton) of Wilkinsons this morning and they were selling off lots of 50gram balls of wool at only 10p per ball! It was called FANCY YARN and is the type that they use for knitting up those fashionable fluffy scarves. There were not too many colours but I bought £2 worth and am looking forward to keeping my fingers busy when the weather really does get cold! I hope this is useful to some of you,

    Afternoon all :hello:

Just having a quiet 5mins while the girls woof down a Freddo each.
Took them to Cadbury World on Wednesday, and came out with far too much choccy stuff
They ask to go every time they come to stay as its only 5mins from here.

Bought a box of creme eggs for £1 as the date was out in July, they taste ok though (well you have to try them dont you)???;)

Sooo glad I had my cholesterol test last week :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Started knitting a vest top for DGS last night when the girls had gone to bed, its a nice easy pattern I am hoping to finish it over the weekend.
Only other stuff I've done is IS hats and a bunting, not really had much time for anything else.

Sooo tiring looking after a 3yr old and a 5yr old, but I am loving every minute of it:T We are taking them home on Sunday they live down in West Sussex which is about a 3hour drive away, so we are staying overnight and coming back on Monday.

Elaine - hope your DS feels ok now, and you and DD arent showing any symptoms
Pam - It worked for me too:T
Jacqui - enjoy your wee-one free time
Jean - hope you and daft dog feel better now
Elaine and Pam - cant remember if I told you both but I sent a parcel to each of you on 18th :D
:wave:Hello Alice nice to see you thanks for the info

Well better go the little people need a drink;)
