  • OOOOOOOO special cuddles Kathy - I am green with envy, make sure you get loads while you can. I am around, trying to sew a set of twin dollies - with matching ensemble for LH, so far they have a frock each and a pair of tartan trews, so I need to crack on. I have a rather lovely cuddly caterpillar on the pins, infact I might even do some housework - anything but make a start on the gents jumper I keep promising to do!!
Hope you are all having wonderful weather and keeping well.

Jeepers Jean, you MUST be desperate to avoid the jumper if you`re going to do HOUSEWORK

I`ve done the back and almost finished the front of my gent`s jumper :p:p:p only the sleeves now.

Just get on wi` it and then you can get back to something you really like doing.

Hello knitters! I don't knit myself but I noticed today that my local Wilkinsons has 50g balls of polyester eyelash yarn reduced to 10p a ball. Is that good? Thought it might be 'cos there was a lady buying about 100 balls of it! There's loads in my branch in quite a few different colours.

Anyway, I don't really know what I'm talking about but I thought I'd pop in and mention it in case it might help some of you?

Hi covgirl, thanks for popping in with that information. One or two of our regulars have been lucky enough to find these bargains - they make beautiful hedgehog toys.
Shame I don`t have a store up here, I`d be stocking up as well. ( Maybe it`s just as well I DON`T have a store near here )

Not much knitting done, an hour with my morning coffee and that's about it - generally frittered and faffed.

Sounds a bit like me here - in fact it sounds a LOT like me the past couple of days :rolleyes2

Can`t seem to work up the enthusiasm to do much of anything, never mind the knitting !! Frittering and faffing sounds just about right.

Just got my `puter back and have been trying to connect to t`internet with no joy. Seem to recall when I first got it I needed extra info from ISP as it`s Vista - so just waiting to hear back from them. Meantime it`s back on the borrowed lappy :T

    Cuppa calling, back later.

I don't have toddlers to knit for but if I did I think the blue one in a nice cottony yarn would be great for the beach! (in our normal summer that is!!:rotfl:)

    luv

Hi everyone. Just thought I'd check in while I am at DS2's. Mother and baby are due home today so we will be making ourselves scarce for a few days while they all settle in together. Both of them are doing really well, thankfully. DS2 is so excited about them both coming home!

I've already bought some lovely wool to add to my stash, but will have another trip to the wool shop before we come back to France. We are off to a friend's daughter's wedding tomorrow, staying in a posh hotel in the New Forest with the rest of the wedding party, then down to Weston-super-Mud to stay with my Mum and visit other family members, then back here for a few days before we sail back home (which I don't want to do!).

We are having a great time here. We spent the afternoon and evening with DS1 and his lovely family which was really good.

Pam has found a site for setting up a free blog which looks so easy, even I should be able to do it! Pam, you've done a great job with the update, thanks.

Well, another cuppa is being made for me so I shall have to go. I will take loads more photos of the baby before we come back - she is truly gorgeous!

Will log in whenever I get the chance. Have a great day, everyone.

  • Pam, will brollies be supplied with the wee seaside suite? Elaine, I'm here ready to do the TIME WARP AGAIN! He He
Finished the ugly twins and some clothes and a wee bag to hold the clothes in, also finished the crawly catterpiller and have just whipped up a pair of purses, so tomorrow come what may I am on that gent's jumper, well as soon as I hunt out a pattern for the knitting machine plain I believe then I won't have to pay too much attention.
Kathy, bet your having a wonderful time, I am really green. Still I hope to make a UK trip later on in the year, so I will be able to make you jealous too.
Cuddles to everybody, its quiet as I believe the biggest half of the forum folk are on their holidays, well thats fine we diehards will keep in touch.

    Evening All!
Hi Elaine, Jean, Kathy and anyone else who's lurking - well, another day, not quite frittered away, been to doc's & wish I hadn't, everything's up - pthhhhhhhhhh -:o keep taking the tablets, pills, more tablets, ease up on the really really nice foods - go for even lower fat, only 2 eggies a week, no cream cakes (sob!), no sausages etc, etc......... humph!

I hoped to get in the garden today after my lovely expedition to the garden centre yesterday (spent far far too much money - oops :rotfl:) but each time I tried it rained. Still, I wont have to water the new plants today!

Now look at this really silly idea, but so nice I think I just have to join in :

now come along everyone draw a giraffe - get the kids to do one - get everyone to draw one - why not :j:rotfl:
May drop by later - time for tea now,

    luv
