Hello
I'm almost ashamed to post in here again after such a long time but I hope you're all well. I haven't been knitting much at all lately as I started a new job in April which involves a lot of travelling - my knitting and crafting time has seriously diminished! I did notice though that this year's innocent campaign has started again, and I'm still determined to beat last year's total (130ish hats). I'm somewhere in the eighties at the moment although I haven't had a proper count up for ages, but I've got a few days holiday so I'll get my needles out and get cracking!0 -
Hi peeps!,
I hope everyone is OK, Jean - I can't believe you're nearly 10, and sooo grown up! :T I hope you're going to make some blackberry wine !
Maytaurus
Thanks for the lovely links - another nice site you've found!
Elaine - hows the decorating? I remember Mr Pastry but my favourite was Old Mother Riley an Kitty! so I think I must be one of the oldest here, I'm just turned 14 (I only count the leap years).:rotfl:
Gingernutmeg, lovely to hear from you, I only know your name from the updates, are you enjoying your new job, is the travelling good?
ISOM - glad the shawl is progressing, I hope you're looking forward to your birthday the big 40 what a good one.
I'll bet none of you can guess what I got for my big 'un all I'll say just now is that it changed my life!!!!!!!!!
Seakay, I hope you managed to get out for your bike ride, did you get plenty of berries?
Re Update , I'll leave it 'til tomorrow, I think there's about half a dozen people posted so its worth doing.
Shezmit - nice to hear from you, I guess you're busy 'cos of school hols etc? The totals you posted look good,:T but we've a way to go through September haven't we!

Ooooooh - THAT sounds interesting:think::think: wonder what it was ??
I thought the decorating was finished last night ( no the paper hasn`t peeled off ) but DD phoned today and said they could see yellow through the last strip I put on. There was yellow paint on the walls before - suggested they might want to paint the walls white before I papered them - but no, they didn`t bother, so she peeled off the strip and I`m going back tomorrow to re-do it. as if I`ve nothing else to be doing !!
Ah well, see you all sometime tomorrow. Have a good night and take care till I `see` you again.

It's not too bad, but as with most jobs it's never the most interesting kind of travelling! I work in HE, so I tend to spend my time in the farthest reaches of the most boring departments in Universities. If I see another computer lab I think I'll scream ...0 -

Morning all.
Haven't been on here for a couple of weeks so just spent a couple of hours catching up and trying not to get sidetracked.
Lovely news Mioliere, well worth wating for. Congratulations!
Sympathy to everyone who's been poorly.
I loved Mr. Pastry, why can't we have such innocent humour now? And Old Mother Riley. Oh heck now I do feel old.
Small parcel sent today Elaine.
Love to everyone.0 -

g'day all!
Didn't manage to get out yesterday after all, so no blackberries, but did sew in the ends of my blanket squares and made a start on sewing them together.
I do pop in and read quite often, but don't often post as my knitting is so woefully slow (what with the brain fog etc) that there really isn't much to say about it a lot of the time.
Lovely to see how everyone's projects are coming along though, in addition to all the charitable ventures and family news!0 -
Good afternoon everyone,
Jean, not bad guesses but, no toy boy (I wish:rotfl:), boobies all home grown & hips not yet worn out!
Seakay, sorry you didn't go out, well done with the sewing (:eek:I always put it off 'til it must be done)
Shezmit, comforting thoughts for the funeral, good luck with the paintwork!
Kinsey, not old! no, never not no how! you must count in leap years (like me:rotfl:)!
Off to see Mum this afternoon, then I have to finish stuffing a teddy bear for psso's tombola thingy.
time for a butty!
'bye for now
luv
