[FONT=Comic Sans MS, cursive]Just had a quick read through of the past week, I am so glad to see all your lovely posts MAYTAURUS, they sure do brighten up the day when its miserable! KATHY – electric fences – I can only say I am pleased I learned as a child how to play with them, they don't have a lot of barbed wire fences in France but they do all seem to have electric, note for future-wear your wellies all year round-yes that will make you look a bit daft with the shorts and Tshirt but at least you will be grounded, I see you are still awaiting the arrival of your grandchild, hope its not much longer. PAM – happy birthday – nearly missed that one – hope you have a great day. For those on their holidays I hope they are having a fantastic time, for those just going on holiday I hope the weather is kind to you all, for those just coming back – don't be blue now its all finished-I definitely get that one. ELAINE – hope you have sorted out the bedroom for all the donations your going to receive, oh and like you I hit the soup when its a grotty day – even in the height of summer, nothing quite like it. ANNE- great news about the DGS. ONLY GIRL, oh I also did a back garden pond in the laundry/baby bath – even managed to make the nets – old tights, length of cane and floated the bath toys into the water – they boys loved it. Hi everyone.
Pam - would you mind starting the update from this week, please - as long as you're still happy to do it until I've been to the UK and come back?! No sign of the baby yet but we're obviously on standby from now on!
I've just been out to post parcels off, including one to you, Elaine, but it's bank holiday here today and I didn't realise:mad:. All the post offices are closed so I won't be able to post them until Monday.
Jean - I could kick myself for not realising it was bank holiday here! I'd even printed out a calender showing all the BHs for the year, too, but just didn't bother reading it:o:rotfl:! We could list your update under Fundraising for LH, perhaps. I've just looked at the photos - Jean, your animal book is amazing! I'm really impressed at the idea and the work that has gone into it. I also love the juggling eyeballs - brilliant! Well done!!:j
Update for me this week:
2 x Hedgies
2 x Children's purses
4 IS hats
1 Friendship square
I shall carry on making IS hats while I wait for the phone call to go back to the UK, but will add them when I come back.
Kathy in SUNNY France, too!

Your FIL sounds lovely; I hope he’s got someone with him in Cyprus,
as it must be a worry in case he needs any help with anything.
Glad you enjoyed your dinner
Posted the squares off to Linda yesterday, so hopefully they’ll be there for when she gets back off her jaunt!

Maytaurus, I love your hungry baby and the bottle full of hugs is beautiful. Don`t need one right now, but I`ll know where to look for one when I need one - thanks.
Hope you are feeling a bit better just now, it`s nice to see you on here again.

Gosh, it`s QUIET here - where is everybody ?
Out on the town or wielding red hot needles ?
Might as well go to bed then.

OOOOOO Me first, many thanks for the comments on the book, I hope to have a really good rake around today and see if I have enough of all the bits to do another one for Lou to send to the hospital, its a pure pain trying to buy eyelets, buckles, ball buttons even ribbon here, never all available in one shop and my nearest shops are more than an hour away, and they shut for lunch and its a right kaffuffle(sp) - puts you right off even starting. I have loads of material tho' so no problems there. Think its the new dolly pattern and some bean bags to sew, then I really must do the man's jersey on the machine - I will knit this week promise. Ofskie for a caffine hit then 'at em'.

Hi Jean - yes, I've just received your message; thank you so much for the info.
Well, I'm all over the place now because DS2 has phoned to say that DIL is in labour! We are racing around getting ourselves organised and will sail back to the UK tomorrow. Can you tell I am beside myself with excitement but also concerned about DIL. Still, it will soon all be over and they'll be two very proud parents. I asked DS2 how he felt and all he could say was 'helpless'!
I'll keep you all posted throughout the day - this thread will be somewhere I can come to relax and calm down a bit!
Hope you are all well. Will catch up with you all a bit later.
