Hi Shaz, well done you! I had read that 5 needles were easier than 4 it seems they were right! I'm still not a fan though - I will knit in the round using circulars and I use them for large items knit flat - but my comfy knit is short (10"?) straights.

I love sock yarn - fantastic colours - I've bought some bright turquoise to make a shawl/scarf (haven't decided yet:rotfl:) - one of my wips is a victorian lace scarf using a variagated one from King Cole.

Hmmmm...? - NO I must crochet the blanket......

    luv

Knew you'd do the hat Elaine! When my first GD was little she would bring a different soft toy every week and we had to make clothes for it. In the process she learned to knit sew and crochet, 18 now and still does it. Result!

Morning all a bit damp and miserable here today, so I suppose I`ll just have to stay inside and do some knitting -sigh -.

Tried the JG rainbow babies patt again this morning, but still coming out funny, although I`ve managed to print off 2 other patterns with no problems. If anyone wants to try it, it`s pages 2 & 3 of the actual pattern I`m not getting - scroll down the page and it says page 2 of 6 and then page 3 of 6. They obviously don`t count the actual front page with the piture on as page 1.

Maybe if any of you can get it to work you could email it to me ?

Off to have a cuppa then maybe see if DD wants to come shopping with me between the showers, then I could do LOTS of knitting this afternoon :T might even be an old film on to watch at the same time.

    Hi everyone

Just popping in before I shut the computer down untilk tomorrow. We're going to a charity fund-raising race night and will be staying over with friends.

Hope you are all having a good day.

Elaine - it's lovely to hear from you.

Kinsey - well done on teaching your GD to knit, sew and crochet, and what a lovely way to do it!

See you tomorrow, unless I get a minute or two on my friends computer! I shall be taking my knitting for the journey!
