Must go and polish my halo....especially because I went to my local wool shop and - wait for it- left empty handed! I went specifically for a very short circular which they didn't have and didn't think existed so will need to have another look on t'internet. They also showed me a lovely set of Addi interchangeable circulars, but I remembered my resolution and also the fact that DH would not have been amused (they were about 90 quid ) and held firm. I'm worn out from all the resisting of temptation though0 -

I am trying to enjoy it but it all feels a bit stressful at the moment - deadlines, mucking up, not understanding patterns.....not being defeatest just struggling! Had a look and have no idea what blocking is or knit yarn forward etc are...knit and purl I can do but for now thats about it! Had a look at the linkies at lunch time but the ones I liked were complicated so will do plan b...buy a present, knit a cupcake, then charity knit then the shawl #2...thanks for ideas though...think I'm just tired and possibly hormonalNerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Hello all,
Oh dear, just popped on to see what`s been happening during my absence and I`m in floods of tears againreading your posts.
Off again to mop up as I don`t want to flood this laptop I`ve had to borrow.
Back soon.

In Search Of Me
The link from k2tog is very easy and looks more complicated than it is, I`ve used it for scarves, blankets, cushions, even jumpers and it`s very effective.
It really is only knit and purl basically. Broken down, into plain language the `difficult` row is only -
knit 2 together, knit two together,YO (bring your yarn over your right hand needle to `make` another stitch) knit 1 (do this 4 times) knit 2 together, knit 2 together, knit 2 together, knit 2 together, knit 1, YO (bring yarn over your needle again) (do this 4 times again) knit 2 together, knit 2 together.
YO is `making` stitches to `replace` the ones you have knitted together IYSWIM. Give it a try - you might like it.

ps - blocking is when you press the item ( with the iron) to get the right shape when you`ve finished, but not always necessary.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

Elaine - it's so good to hear from you. As you can see, you have been in all our thoughts and prayers over the past few weeks and have been sorely missed. I hope you are taking good care of yourself and that you will come back soon. You are a valued member in this wonderful group of people and it will be lovely to have you back with us, but we will all understand if you find it difficult at the moment. Just come back here whenever you can.
with love
