Hi everyone. We've been out for most of the day sorting out the red tape in our lives out here, which involved a trip to our nearest big town, Niort, which is lovely. We stopped for a delicious coffee in a typical French cafe and sat outside in the sun. It's been a while since we've ambled around and we made the most of it. I found a lovely craft shop but, as happens a lot in France, it was closed on Monday. Just as well; the wool on special offer in the window was still 3 euros 50 for 50g!!! That's about £3 for ordinary wool!
Anyway, all your posts are great - I shall have another read of them in a minute. Thanks for all your wonderful updates; there's lots to add when I update tomorrow.
I have finished my Memory Square and my Friendship Square (well, apart from sewing in the ends, which I shall do this evening, then I'll get it in the post to Chalky towards the end of the week.
I'm getting on with a cardi for the baby due in August, then I'll do some preemie things, and then I might make a blanket following the log cabin pattern, to use up lots of scraps of wool, so it might be very multi-coloured.
Anyway, I'm going to have a coffee now.
