    Yep, that looks good Pam.
Wish I'd thought to cast off loosely. I'm sure my fingers are bruised :rotfl:

Makes sense to me Pam, but have been on the pink falling down water, so everything is making sense, and I am giggling a lot (apparently)!!

OOOh - I like the pink stuff too! Bu it must be on the sweet side, Blossom Hill or Gallo bros, white grenache - yummy!

When I slipped the first stitch on every row it made the middle "bubble up" so I'm now trying it with knitting the first stitch, should be interesting when I come to picking up. Apart from keeping the slipped stich as loose as possible, what did I do wrong? Haven't got the excuse of pink falling down water unfortunately.

    Hi Kinsey,
if this is happening on your middle square it sounds like a tension issue, is your tension normally quite tight? an average tension for DK wool with 4mm needles would be around 22/24 stitches and 27/29 rows to give a 10cm (4") square. Are you tugging on your slip stitch? - try to relax it a bit - can't think of much else except maybe try some pink water?

    luv

Hi everyone - I hope those who were indulging in the falling down stuff last night are not too hungover!

I've finished both my squares now, so I need to get them off in the post this week. I must admit, I've not been slipping the first st on every row because I forgot but it seems to have worked out. Pam - thanks for rewriting the pattern!

Well, having had our first evening with 'proper' TV, we stayed up to watch a film and went to bed quite late, so I was up at the more normal time of 5am this morning.

Shaz - I hope you have a good time away. I'll add your totals when I update tomorrow morning, thanks.

We are visiting friends this morning,; they live about an hour away, so I shall take my knitting to do while we're driving. I am going to spend this week finishing off things for my grandchild-to-be, then I can get properly stuck into charity things. I'm running out of baby colours, so will be doing a big stock-up when we come back to the UK in August.

Anyway, will see you all later.

Thanks for that Pam. Seems better when I don't slip the stitch, so will carry on and see how it goes, not today though as have visitors coming.

    Morning everyone,

I've finished my squares as well, will give them a light press and get them off when I have the address.
Must say I have'nt been slipping the first stitch either as I found it worked better for me to knit it. Had more of a bobble to knit into when doing the next log IYSWIM.

Started a baby jumper last night in a rainbow type wool, all the pastels pink, blue, lilac, lemon and white and its looking really nice.

Went over to DS2 and DIL's yesterday, and DGS is sooo cute he just makes me want to hug him, he was showing me how to dance, so funny he shakes his shoulders and trys to tap his feet and ends up in a heap on the floor:rotfl:

Kathy - I dont seem to have much to update with yet will finish off a couple of things then post tonight or early tomorrow :D
Shaz - enjoy your hols hope the weather is kind to you
