G'mornin - just thought I'd say hello as its a beautiful Saturday morning, its 7.00am :eek:and I'm already 1 coffee into the day!

The air is perfumed with wild garlic from the nearby woods, birdies are twittering I'm looking at some shattered roses, after all the rain yesterday, it seems such a shame but there are loads of buds promising another fine display in a few days. I'm not looking at the weeds which are sprouting everywhere, unless they are the pretty ones of course !:rotfl:

    Now for coffee #2

    'bye for now
    luv

    HI all.

    Lucie - what great news!

Maytaurus - thanks, yet again, for all the links.

Well, the sun is shining; I'm just about to do some shopping (only food, yawn), then later we are off to our friends to help set up for the car-boot-sale-without-car-boots tomorrow.

It's a lovely warm day here today. Hope it is wherever you all are!

    Morning to you all
Everyone sounds chirpy this morning-- So lovely to see you posting Maytaurus.
Lucie great news about the jobs-- what a turn around !!

the Cake knitting pattern book I have is 20 knitted cakes to make by Susan Penny-- ISBN 978-1-84448-361-7
Haven't knitted any yet though so don't know how hard they are!!

Finished my 3rd square in the log cabin quilt. Of course it is a bit annoying because as I am using different brands of wool the squares are not the same size. A bit of forceful sewing up methinks. However I am loving the effect. Now I cant wait to try this--

    TITLEmitered.gif
or Mitered squares as a solution for managing the colors in
    handpainted yarn

    Mitered Windowpane Socks
I am going to try the effect in a pram rug as have Great new nephew or neice due in Jan !

At last the hedgehogs have wandered off my needles and gone snuffling into the box for Loving Hands !!

We are off to a BBQ today- its a it windy here but dry so far. DS and New DIL are home for the weekend for the first time since the wedding. Full of plans for their trip to New Zealand and they are bringing a copy of the CD of photos so the printer will be whirring!!

I am also trying to resolve an issue on ebay. A picture arrived in a jiffy bag and 1 piece of bubble wrap--- damaged badly as you would expect on 1corner. The buyer says as she paid insurance up to £39 she thought they would have looked after it !!!! I don;t see it progressing well !!

Well gentle thoughts to those who need them and jumping jacks to all those celebrating.

Shelley . Do you want some help with sewing up the Aarron squares, it must be a monumental task as I see the figures of the numbers of squares donated rising which is wonderful for your charity but hard work for you.

    Kathy- Have a great time.
Try and do a good deed every day.

Hi all, just a quick visit to let you know how DH is.

He`s still in intensive care, 1 nurse to 1 patient, but the staff say the op went well and he`s doing fine. He might be well enough to be moved to the next stage - 1 nurse to 3 patients - today.

Off to have a quick bite to eat before visiting time comes round again.

    Back later maybe.

Elaine, thinking of you and your family, fingers crossed for your DH's speedy recovery, hang on in there.

Maytaurus - passed the details of the super duper light to my cousin - will see if she actually ends up getting one. Hoping to get tons of sewing and knitting done over the month. The tour de France started today and I can't abide it!!! Shame really as DS and DOH both love it, that's life.
