Morning everybody--- Earlier start here today as I have to make 100 !!!!! Brownies. Actually the size they want them means you can get 24 out of a tray so its not that bad. The lady who was going to do them wanted £180 !!!!!!!! So this lady is doing them for a hug !
weather still iffy but dare I say it a lighter shade of grey/black -- so your good wishes are working so please keep them up. DDIL2B's sister arrived last night with a 10 day old baby-- I had forgotten they were that small !!
All the knitted toys for the little guests are now finished and hedgies still rule. I am really wondering what else I can do with eyelash wool. Please ont suggest scarves I have knitted a few but dont enjoy the monotony of all those lines !!!
Well I hope you all have good days. Hugs here from North Devon to anyone who wants one. Kind of celebratory hugs or sympathetic just take whch one you would like with a side order of good wishes of course.Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi everyone. I'm late on here today; following Roamin in the gloamin's advice, I unplugged my broadband Livebox because we had a terrific thunderstorm this morning. Roamin has already got through several Liveboxes due to storms here, so I didn't want to risk mine! Anyway, the thunder and lightening have passed but it's still raining. It's not put the birds off the bird table, though. We have a couple of very greedy sparrows; they're feeding babies, I think, otherwise, if they are eating all the food they collect, they'll soon be too heavy to take off.
I did a bit more of my ripple blanket last night. I'm doing it in white, blue, pink and lemon, four rows to a stripe, alternating the colours with white. It's turning out really well. I've also come across this lovely site, http://www.sugarncream.com/search.php?pspt=k&advps=y which has some free patterns for baby things, as well as other items. You have to register (free) to be able to download, but the patterns are great. There's some lovely bib-and-bootie sets that I think I'll have a go at later today, in between crocheting my blanket.
Well, all offers to clean my barn out are welcome! It must be teaming with creepy-crawlies but I haven't seen any mice or rats in there. It's a long way from being a comfy cosy knitters' retreat!
Pam - I loved the sleeveless hoodie pattern. Thanks for the link.
Well, I'd better go and do some work.
I hope you are all feeling good today, although I expect Chalky is bouncing up and down with excitement for Saturday!
See you all later.

Have you seen the other free patterns on this site! I'm out of printer ink0 -
Thanks for that, Kinsey. I didn't think to look for any more patterns. There's some fantastic ones on there - I want to make them all! I love the crochet skirt - I may have a go at that one day.
By the way, when I was still in the UK, I ordered my printer inks from here http://www.pcfuel.co.uk/acatalog/info.html Their inks are so cheap compared to other suppliers. Just before I left, I ordered three sets for my all-in-one-printer for less than one set would have cost in PC World - and it included delivery! Well worth checking out, and delivery is very prompt, too.

L C Wilson - that is stunning, and so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes. You are very talented to have designed it yourself. I'm sure everyone will want to make it. Thank you so much for posting the lovely photos and the pattern. I shall print it off right now.
Many thanks

Thanks Kathy. I've never designed a pattern in my life before. Just made it up as I was going, doing lots of altering.
