dpixie - great to see you back - i feel honoured that you talk about us to your family - I tell my Mum constantly infact I will tell anyone who will listen about all your fantastic efforts

chalky - you are not whittering about wedding etc - its great - if anyone is guilty of whittering its me ha ha - glad the brownies are all done well done - my brownies are never "stodgy" enough if you know what I mean - our local deli sells them and they are just melt in the mouth mmmmmmmmmm

lorna "hot needles" wilson - quick question - what size needles do you use for the crib - have started casting on under shezmits expert guidance that she does everything on 4mm (8) - then had a panic on that you might use smaller needles???

Yeah, it is 4mm (8) and double knitting wool. Sorry about that, I'll include it in the pattern. And I knit with a very average tension I think, so tight/slack knitters would need to adjust needle size to suit.

and a quick question for Lorna ... do you ever sleep? you knit like a machine, how do you do it?

    love and hugs

The quick answer to that is 'not much' :D

As you may know I care for my elderly mother. She has her bedroom downstairs since having a very bad fall downstairs several years ago (had 187 stitches in her head!). Now I have to have my bed in the livingroom so I can see to her day and night. Trouble is my doggy Meg is a real nursemaid and wakes me every time mam so much as moves in her sleep. Then thinks she'll bring her toys for a bit play... no matter if it's 2am

Of course daytime isn't much different, and I only manage to get out for an hour or so a couple of times a week for shopping... luckily I can park right outside the wool shop with my blue badge :D

Oh, and one more thing - I pay my 2 sisters to do most of my cleaning, so lots of free time:rotfl:

    Hi All
Lovely links Maytaurus – as always!
Shaz, you’re a wool terror! Where on earth are you going to store an extra 40 balls of wool?
Chalky, I am willing good weather for you tomorrow and add on my own little wishes for next week because we’re heading there tomorrow for half term week.
Sorry to hear about your sad day Mrs MP. Sometimes the world just seems plain wrong. I think that’s why it’s so nice being on this thread – what we do is quite “little” in the universal sense but it’s all positive and makes something a bit better for somebody.
F1widow, when you escape to France, let me know – is it just me or is everyone getting barn-envy? :rotfl:
Welcome back dpixie – you must be nearish to mioliere if you are near Toulouse?
Lorna – wow. I can’t believe you just invented that pattern yourself. It is beautiful. :A Amazing that you managed to do that between caring for your Mum. Are your sisters for hire?
I am hereby announcing my (possibly temporary) retirement from project washables after 2 sets and some extra covers. Need to chill with hook rather than stress with machine. Had to do a quick IS hat to recover!
    Take care everyone x
