    Hi everyone
Thanks for your kind comments re my DGS, he is a little darling. I am a real doting grand-mother I love every minute I can spend with him and my 2 DGD's (who live 3 hours away) they all wear me out but it does me good....I think.....;)

Jean - ooo I'd love a poke around in that barn, is there any wool hidden in there do you think:rotfl::rotfl:
k2tog - I have been working on a ripple blanket and it looks really effective, and easier than it looks isnt it? But I have run out of the one colour so need to go buy some more, such a bind isnt it having to go into wool shops :rotfl:
Shelley - I have done some vent hats and will send them over the weekend along with a few buntings, cant face another boob yet ;)
Kathy - it is nice to have you back :T I have just been in to my sig and have re-arranged it all so everything is in the same order as on the main total posts, I thought it would be easier and quicker for you when you total up at the weekend :D
Chalky - I know what you mean about visualising each other, I wonder how right we all are

Fingers crossed for lovely sunny days  for the weddings coming up

Off for a :coffee: before I go off to Mums, have good days all

    Morning everybosy

PurpleTeddyBear the Christening sounds wonderful. I hope little one gets better soon. All that itchyness!!

Thank you all for fingers crossed and warm wishes--- Still calm here -- well they are and apart from weird dreams where I had forgotten to ask my dad ( Bless him he passed away 10 years ago ) all is well with me!!!

Maytaurus I hope you know how you brighten our days and pull our ramblings to gether in such a lovely way for us all to share.

Roamin I think you are just kidding-- I think it is a ploy to stop us coming to you for the knitting/crochet convention. Sorry, doesn't work for me. I see filtered sunlight playing on beams, bunches of lavender and herbs making a beautiful background aroma, geraniums on the steps and sills, antique white cotton voiles flapping softly at the windows and inspiring music playing whilst you hum and sing and sew !!!!

WEATHER STILL PANTS BY THE WAY !!!
Try and do a good deed every day.

    Hi everyone.

Purpleted - hope everything is going smoothly for the christening.

Maytaurus - as usual, great links and piccies. I have a barn and it's nowhere near as glamorous as that! Mind you, the pigeons and swifts seem to think they can live there rent free and are nesting in it, so it must be 'home sweet home' for some!

Pippa - thanks for your 'easy-to-to-read sig; I have no excuse to get your updates wrong, now, do I?!

Chalky - try and take time out for a few deep breaths! This week will go so fast for you!

Shez - I was offline when you did your bungee jump. I've just caught up with the blog, so well done on raising so much, and for being a lot braver than I would have been! The photos of all the donations look fantastic. Well done!

Apologies for the mistakes in the update and to Prfungi for having got it wrong already. I shall put things right on the last update, so we all know where we are - hopefully.

Well, it's cool and damp here again. I've been out and bought some pots for my tomato plants and hope to plant them later this afternoon. The garden centres are expensive for that kind of thing here, but we have a new Gifi - not quite a Pound shop, but the next best thing, and I bought pots for half the price they would have been.

Anyway, although I can't rejoin LH for some inexplicable reason - despite both Lou and Pam West trying their hardest to sort it out for me (it must be my PC with the problem), I can still read all the posts and print off patterns and so on. I found some lovely little baby shorts to crochet on one of the pattern sites there - Shelly, would there be a use for them for preemies? I shall try making some for my grandchild-to-be, anyway. They look really easy, and you could turn them into trousers just by adding a few more rows.

Anyway, off to put right the mistakes in the update!

    Have a great day.

  • Morning all (just) - at least I think it's morning!

have had about an hour's sleep as DD was soooo uncomfy with her chickenpops spots, poor wee thing. Whipped her off to docs this morning and came back armed with a carrier bag full of Calpol and Piriton syrup. Dosed up and she's now asleep on the sofa, looking very pale and spotty. Hopefully she'll get her sparkle back soon.

OH has taken DS to Grandma's (they only came back from Madeira yesterday!) for the afternoon, so he will come back spoilt and full of chocolate.

Have found the camera lead and lacy bunting looks like this...

what do you all think? Should I do some more?!

off to get washing sorted and dishwasher on before madame wakes for food

Happy days all, and hugs all round,

    Dawn xx

Hi - I just checked the preemies website and see the easy baby bunting has been replaced by the 1st lovely lacey one - I cant manage this one I'm afraid and I sent the link to my pal who is just learning to knit and could do the original one but nothing fancy like this - is there any chance you could put the basic one back on? Sorry to be such a pest! One day I might be able to do the lovely lacey ones..............!

PurpleTeddyBear - that is sooo beautiful, must go and check the pattern out on Preemies. Poor LO all those itchy spots x

Maytaurus - I love your posts they are soo nice, and they cheer us all up x

Kathy - I wondered where you were over on LH, did'nt realise you were having a problem trying to get online with them, hope it gets sorted out soon

Chalky - never mind the pants weather, it will be lovely when its needed, I am sending dry/warm weather vibes out as I type

k2tog - I managed to get the wool for my ripple blanket....only trouble is.....I had to bring a few of its little friends with it... errrrm and a box to put it all in, it was all reduced to £1 per 100g though a real bargain... OH will blow a gasket :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Well I am off to make a couple of phone calls and then get my crochet out.
