Hi Everyone
Been working on my ripple blanket, which I now notice is not wide enough for a baby blanket so will now go to LH for a cat! I’m enjoying doing it because it’s a relatively simple pattern and a lovely effect – makes me look cleverer than I am!Also did a pink crochet angel pocket and tried it in HTC and because I didn’t know how to decrease in that stitch, did the triangle bit in DC and made it up as I went along!
I think I might rip back my slanted shells blanket and redo it smaller because the yarn I got to finish it is completely different and I think I can use it elsewhere – will feel bad ripping it though because I’ve done so much.
Elaine I think I could only do the sleeping bag because you rewrote the pattern – couldn’t get my head round the stitch marker bit before – thank you. Hope you feel more sociable soon – I don’t think this miserable rain helps. A couple of days of sunshine and I feel gutted when it rains again and we’re all stuck indoors. My most hated thing though is the washing line dither – shall I put it out? You finally decide to chance it and 10 minutes later it buckets down!
How lovely that your DGS is settling in so well Anne – fantastic.
Everyone has been really busy. I’m looking forward to catching up with the pics on Shelleys blog.
Mr Darcy again tonight Kathy?0 -
Good morning everyone - the sun is shining here at last, so I hope it is where you all are.
Update in the following post. Angel wraps, pockets and capes have all been listed under 'angel pockets' and sun tops have not been listed until I can find out from Prfungi how to add them to her brilliant spreadsheet. I can add names in the 'down' column, but don't know how to add the items across the top because she has slanted the boxes to get all the words in, IYKWIM!
Anyway, the figures, as always, are absolutely staggering; I really cannot believe how many things are being made - 223 items added since last week!! You are ALL fantastic, so well done!:j:T:A:j:T:A:j:T:A:j:T:A:j:T
I hope the update is correct - please let me know if I've got anything wrong.
I'm now going to rush through my chores so that I can spend some time knitting and crocheting.
K2tog - I only watch Mr Darcy when DH is out - he can't stand 'girly' programmes like that, and would grumble all the way through it. When it first came on TV, he watched it with me and could barely stay awake for even one episode! I can't put him through it again! I shall watch some more episodes today - in peace.
Thinking of you, Shaz.
Maytaurus - hope you have a good day today.
Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning everybody, hope you all have a great day regardless of the weather where you happen to be.
Moiliere -I really can be doing without the heart attack first thing in the morning 21 BABY BLANKETS - I wish - I am trying hard on the knitting machine but not that much. It should read 2 baby blankets and the dog blanket total is 4 dog blankets
I am hoping to do only project washables for AA and dog/baby blankets this week, but you never know I might just get bored and try something else too.

Hi Jean - I was just checking that you were awake! Sorry about that - I've put it right. Sunny here, too, but not enough washing to make up a machine-load, so I can't make the most of it.
Have a great day.

Morning all,
We have rotten weather here today, it's stopped raining at mo, but the skies are still very grey. Hope it's better where you are.
Brilliant totals on the update,:T I missed getting mine on this week so will attempt to update next time, It's not easy getting on the computer at the weekend for me what with dh & ds's fighting over it little ol me is at the back of the queue as usual. whenever I do get on their hovering in the background waiting to pounce as soon as I move, very annoying:mad:
There's so many patterns to try I'm not sure what to make next, I've been doing the crochet bunting and am enjoing them as their very quick, I might try the facecloths as I fancy a bit of knitting for a change. great idea to use them for blankets too.
Hope everyone is having a good day, ((hugs)) to all.:D:jWooligans Totals 2010:

Good morning everybody--- Just read through everbodies post since yesterday morning and glad things are going so well for so many
PippaS ---So glad things are settling so well with the little GS
Mioliere-- Lovely to have you back posting we did miss you when you were away.
TightAs- Feel a bit calmer now that we are in situ -- WEATHER IS PANTS here!!! So I am just hoping it is all over and done with by the weekend. They have taken so much trouble with so many things. DDIL2B has even knitted little monsters for all the little ones coming !! The theme she has chosen is peacock feathers so there are beautiful shades of blues and greens everywhere. DOH and I are in charge of hole punching the favour bags today so taht will keep us out of mischief!!!
psso- lurk away but hope you feel a bit brighter
DON AND OTHER NEWBIES -- It is so nice to have you all onboard that it doesnt matter a jot how much you knit. I personally have restless hands disease so hedgehogs just appear off the end of my fingers. Last year the symptoms were premmie hats !! NO CURE I AM AFRAID !!
roamin - I have a romantic picture of you in my head in your barn. A bit like The English Patient. With you peacefully sewing and knitting.
Does anyone else do this !! I read your posts feel as if we are all getting to know each other and then imagine what you all could be like.
OK, OK , OK --I think it is time to go and lie in a darkened room . Must be all thi wedding milarky !!
Have good days one and all.Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Chalky - thanks for your kind words. As you know, my DS2 got married on 8th August last year. The weather was dreadful in the week leading up to it, and even worse for the rest of the month, but, for that one day, the sun burst out as soon as we all arrived at the church. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the same with your DS's wedding - don't despair; I'm sure it will be a gorgeous day. The peacock colours sound fantastic. Can't wait for the photos!
I feel as if we all know each other so well from this thread that, if we were to meet up for a big party, we'd all get on like a house on fire. This is a lovely thread with the nicest people!
Well, I should be working but I can't be bothered at the moment. I've been dusting instead (how virtuous!), but now I can't be bothered with that either. I shall have to do some work, though, so I can treat myself to the afternoon with my crochet and Mr Darcy!
Hope you are all having a good day.

mioliere - sorry to be a pain (have typed in red so you know its an update) - unfortunately I cannot lay claim to 6 baby hats should still be 4
Also I noticed at the bottom of the update you have "christmas boxes" listed (1x hats and facecloths) - at the moment I am doing the pull on hats for friends Mum for the church shoe boxes at christmas (have done 3 altogether (Operation Christmas Child) - as you have them listed seperately (or should that be three to include the two I have done this week) is there someone else on here that collects them ?? as I would not mind sending some their way
I hope you can understand that because I have just read it back and I dont ha ha ha
thanks so much for your help and sorry to be a pain - f1 widow xxx
