hi ladies -
Am trying to remember all that I have just read - leaves the brain faster than it went in these days
shaz - sorry to hear your news - thinking of you and sending you a big hug xxx
Would also like a "face cloth" pattern if that is ok ???
I mentioned the craft ladies who make for charity etc they showed me a small shoulder bag which i thought was great - cross between shoulder bag and purse??? plaited handle long enough to go over shoulder - they are knitting those for shoe boxes I thought they were great - does anyone have a pattern for these??? (Imand wondering whether the lovely maytaurus may pop up on this one haha)
Dont get me wrong I love knitting the buntings/squares and boobs etc for the babies but I get butterfly mind and like to click away at something different
Well after saying "Imust not spend any money" over and over again I walked past charity shop and they have had a new delivery of yes you guessed it wool ..... well this gorgeous creamy yellowey orange shouted at me (its actual name is buttercream) so I ran in - paid - and ran out clutching one ball ............. they have other new colours as well so after the car boot tommorow where I hope to cash in on some junk I might be pressured into getting a couple more balls of the new colours!
Sending love and warm wishes to all - especially those that are not their best at the moment - f1widow xxxxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -

Sorry Ladies, I was in a real rush last night - and not much better this morning, I meant to post this link too for the face/dish cloths

which is where the heart one is.....oops. Oh my 3 French DGS's loved the FROG ones - their pa wasn't too impressed tho' LOL!
Chalky it was you mentioning the christmas boxes that set me off - I find they are as addictive as the IS hats.
They suggest "worsted" weight cotton, but I only had machine 2ply cotton so I just doubled it up and changed the needles - someone far better at knitting would know exactly what you should use.
The big ones (now on wooligans) are done on the knitting machine - so that I can rattle off loads of them.
I hope its a happy space wherever you are today, hope to get back later. You all have a good one.

Good morning everyone
Shaz -so glad your son is home with you -- no-one told us when they were in their pushchairs the worry we would have. I don't think it matters how big their hands get the same love is there in our hearts and the worries never stop
Thank you all for your good wishes and congratulations for DD1. She ent out celebrating last night looking a very happy bunny !
Well I MUST close the computer and get on. We leave just before lunch and hopefully I will be able to get online at my sons to catch up with all your news and achievements.
Special wishes to you all and thanks for " holding " my virtual hand with your kind words and support over the wedding ramblings over the last few weeks--- tootsies are painted !!!

Hi Shaz - so glad your son is home. I hope the rest of the weekend is relaxing for you.
Chalky - getting closer and closer now! I can imagine the mixture of emotions you must be feeling - I sobbed and sobbed on the morning of DS's wedding when he showed me his wedding clothes, and they were still on the hanger!
Well, I started a ripple blanket last night - this one is for my grandchild-to-be (in white with baby pink, baby blue and lemon stripes), but the pattern is really quick and easy, so I shall make another one straight after for Preemies.
I've just been looking at the latest photos on Wooligans - you've all been so busy and the photos are lovely. Does anyone have the link to the Angel Crib knitting pattern? Both PSSO's knitted cribs, and Jean's sewn ones, are gorgeous but sewing is not my best subject, so I'd only be able to attempt the knitted one. I'd love to make some.
Well, it has poured with rain here for the last 24 hours but it has finally stopped (not for long), so I've dared to put some washing on the line.
Well, off for some lunch, then an afternoon in front of a DVD - DH has been working on the bathroom and I've been working online, so we deserve a break!
Hope you are all having a great day.
KathyXX
By the way, thanks for all your updates so far. I shall probably do the update first thing tomorrow morning. As usual, there's loads to add - you've all been so productive!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:
Squares: 11, Animal blankets: 20 -
Afternoon all.
I've been using the washcloth patterns to knit squares for a blanket. I used 4mm needles and DK wool. Some of them had to be altered a bit, extra plain rows here and there, extra stitches in some of the borders etc, but they seem to work. I did try to pick patterns that had a similar number of cast on stitches and number of rows though - didn't want to make it too difficult. Most of the patterns I got from knitting patten central. I quite fancy making some in cotton though for presents and for the shoeboxes.
Happy knitting all. Hugs to those who need them today.
Ann xx
