Just a quickie, has anyone come across a crochet pattern for boobs? Feel the need to slouch after knitting the sleeping bag, and crochet is better for slouching

Hi - here's a crochet boob done in 2 parts - I haven't tried this one - it's worked nipple down with a separate base.
    http://dugdanger.com/uploads/Randomstuff/ChochetBreasts.pdf

I also have one I copied from somewhere - it is a free pattern - can't remember the site but I have it in a Word document. This is also worked nipple down but the base is integral. - pm me your email & I'll send it.

On the whole - I found the crochet one easier on my wrists than knitted - but I wouldn't call it slouchy when it comes to the base.

    have fun

ktog - well done for keeping it up with the crocheting - I admire you
I met some ladies yesterday who go to a charity craft group - knit, sew, cardmaking etc and they meet twice a month - I am hoping to be ok to go the end of the month and one of them crochets and has said she will help teach me

I have been "adapting" the normal bunting into one with a pattern (like the Angel Cape pattern) and am pleased so far but my hardest critics will be you ladies - so will need to know how to upload a pic (if anyone can help - I think someone talked about it the other day but I just cant find it)

Anyway bye for now all - love and hugs to everyone
PS shaz - hope you are ok - thinking of you xx
maytaurus - sorry to hear you not so good - hugs xx
jean/mioliere - loving all the tales of your daily lives - im sure you ladies need to slow down a little though ! xxx
pippa - hope you feel better soon xx

Hi everyone, hope you are all well, despite the weather. It's just as bad here, with rain and grey skies forecast for the next few days.

I sat down last night with every intention of getting some crochet done - I did manage one pair of booties but then we were Skyped by friends from the UK and spent an hour talking to them.

DH is out all day working on the holiday home with all the leaks, that I helped clean on Monday and Tuesday - the owners want the whole house putting right so that's a fair bit of work. It gives me a day without interruptions, especially the sort that involves me holding big sheets of plaster board, or mixing up plaster! I shall work all morning then try and take the afternoon off with some knitting and crochet. We still have no TV because we haven't got round to sorting that bit out, but I can watch a DVD or video instead. I can get all the BBC radio stations on the internet, but not the TV.

I also want to look through all the new patterns on Maytaurus's link (#964) to make sure I haven't missed anything.

Pippa - hope you are on the mend now.

Maytaurus - hope today is a good day for you.

Shaz - hope you are feeling good today.

I'll catch up with you all later.

    KathyXX

morning all, i've been lurking and reading posts, even when i havent been up to posting. sounds like you've all been really busy with the knitting and crocheting. i'm going to a craft group this afternoon, so i'm taking my kniting with me.
feeling much better, been a tough week, but ds who was excluded is going back today. And after a lot of tears etc, me and ian have had a good talk, got everything out into the open, and are going to try again, this time with both of us making more of an effort.
f1 widow, good luck with learning to crochet, a lady at one of my groups is going to teach me too, had one lesson already, but really struggling to keep the edges straight.
pippa, hope you feel better soon, could u knit with the wool that smells, then wash the finished article?
sorry your havign bad weather too kathy, always thought it was hotter and sunnier abroad all the time, shows i have never left this country dosent it.
right off to sew up a bag theat i made for myself, then the rest of the day to knit, :j :j

    Morning all,

shaz - good to hear things sound better! xx Not sure whether me and crocheting will get on - one needle and wool - could be a receipe for disaster and the fire brigade having to come and cut me out of a huge ball of knots :rotfl::rotfl:

kathy - busy day ahead !!!! xx

Im almost finished the "adapted" bunting - will need to know from you ladies how to upload a photo - if anyone can help????

    love to all f1widow xxx

    Hi everyone.
I do hope the peeps who have been feeling down or porly or just sad are feeling a bit better today. Please keep posting if you are up to it and then at least we can send positive thoughts winging towards you. Shaz hope all goes well.

I finished Reik level 1 during the winter and am practising on willing friends and family and I am loving it so much. I worked with 1 of DD1's friends last night and it was a lovely relaxing feeling for us both. In Reiki level 2 which I am going to do next winter you can send healing so that might help when people are feeling low. Anyway hugs nfrom here.

Well hygienist this morning:rolleyes::rolleyes: I hate it but thought I should polish up the pearlies for the 23rd !!

Its horrible here and I hope it brightens for the weddings tomorrow but then I hope all the rain comes and there is none left for us and Tightas on the 30th!!

Well I am still fluffing hedgies. There was so much eyelash wool in the bag from the freecycle lady that it seems daft not to use it. It is soothing cos it doesnt take any brain power

OK must go - Have good days x

    Morning everyone.

Pippa - I laughed out loud thinking of a mass of wool all tangled in the washing machine. :rotfl:Not sure how to get rid of the smell though.

Shaz - glad things are getting a bit better for you. Keep positive as best you can.

Maytaurus - Thanks for link to the bogof wool, I have resisted looking at it though, keep telling myself to use what I've got first.:D

Horrible weather here today and I've finally booked meself in at the hairdressers to have my mop sorted out and I'm gonna get soaked there and back. :D

Have a lovely day all despite the weather.

    Morning all

Maytaurus - thank you so much for your advice, don't know why I didn't think of doing that myself. You are so kind to answer queries as well as posting your lovely pictures even when you're not feeling so good yourself. Appreciate it.

Hope everyone has a good day and that things pick up for those who are feeling low.

    Wishing everyone a great weekend.

Just a quick look round the door for me this morning, I am waiting for a friend to pick me up, we are off to see another friend we both worked with some years ago and we have all kept in touch, but she has moved and wants us to see her new home.
Looking forward to seeing her, she is widowed now and gets quite lonely.

Thank you all for your kind wishes, my awful cold ( the worst I've ever had) does seem to be drying up now, tell you what Vaseline is brilliant for sore noses ;) and the headaches have calmed down thank goodness.

Also thanks for the suggestions re the smelly wool I will let you know how it goes:A

Did some more on the ripple blanket last night up to 12 colours now.
Found a 100g ball of white last night so Shelley I will get some things done for you
Shaz - nice to see you back, x
said this was a quick post and O dear I do seem to have rambled on :o

Hello everyone, hope you're all well today.

Pippa - if you can gather the wool up in a net curtain or similar and peg it to the washing line for a couple of days it will clear the smell. Hope you''ve got better weather than us at the moment though, it's pouring down here.
