The jumper is almost finished now Kathy, with the right sized sleeves I might add just got to do the rib round the neck, glad it made you laugh, made me laugh too until I realised I'd got to undo it :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Hi all. Pippa - I'm glad you managed to get the jumper finished - to the right size and shape!

I've posted off a cardi and mittens to Chalky's appeal, and Shez's Teds and Chicks are on their way back home, accompanied by three buntings - 2 white and 1 pink.

I have just started a little doll for the Loving Hands ambulance and fire crew challenge (I think Lou called them 'trauma toys'). I have lots of smallish balls of wool that I can use up for these. I shall do things for the other challenges too, but this one really appealed to me because it's so unusual - a brilliant idea.

I've just had a lovely hour knitting and watching the Victorian Farm (the first episode that I recorded from last week and didn't have time to watch!). I didn't think DH would be interested in it, but they are restoring an old farmhouse in the programme and he loves anything like that. I shall have the pleasure of watching it again later plus the second episode, recorded when I remembered just in time that it was on.

Thanks, Shelley - I've got a certificate of posting for tracking if my parcel gets lost, but it would be great to know it actually gets to you!

Thank you to you all for such a wonderful response. My sister in law is coming out with her partner and she does leave a lot of her personal belongings here and doesnt have to bring heavy toiletries etc etc. If she is over the weight limit between them I have asked her to keep the items very safely as we go home in April and back out with our van in October so I will bring any extras out then as I am sure all will be very welcome.
I am so touched that everyone responds in such a wonderful way, this site is enough to make you believe in the strength of human kindness again when you are constantly bombarded with such awful news on the news

As I've said before, I can't believe how generous everyone is on here, and it really does restore your faith in human kindness.
