  • Morning all,

Well - the folding camper is all packed and ready to go. Kettle is on for the flasks and I have made sure that there was room for my knitting tidy with plenty of wool and patterns for me to go at - the amount I am taking you would think I was away for a fortnight! We're off to the Lakes for the weekend (we must be crackers..) so that will be an experience with a 4 year old (he's been lots of times before) and a 61/2 month old (we've not been camping with her yet).

So, hopefully lots of needle time for me - we shall see.

Hope you all have lovely weekends, and will check back with all myupdates and news when I get back.

    lots of love

    Dawn x

PS - I can eat chocolate again on sunday (gave it up for Lent), but I cant stand the smell of it now!!
    :hello:

Hi Ann - isn't it quiet here today, I will update on Sunday evening if people want to post.

I've been sorting through all the free patterns I've downloaded recently - I think I've got myself over excited:rotfl: feeling quite giddy - there's enough to keep me going for about 5 years but that won't stop me looking.

I've finally found a bootee pattern I can do which is great, takes about 15 mins so just enough for a coffee break. I have a blanket on the needles but don't think I'm in the mood for it. May just have to do some hats!!

Must confess I've been to the wool shop again :o Mums fault really - she decided she needed some dark blue yarn so I just had to go didn't I.:j

    luv

Not even a full page of posts today so far - how quiet!!!

    purpleteddybear - camping with 2 children - you need a medal !

prfungi - dont worry I too have been lured into wool buying today 1 and 3/4 balls of wool at the charity shop - dont know what to do with it just had to have it !!! WOOL BUYERS ANNOYMOUS is calling my name .......

Well it is quiet here too my son is away at his Nan's - I have just cooked three course meal for hubby (have not cooked a special meal for the two of us for ages!)- might go and have a soak in the bath and then .......... you guessed it knitting .......... I have decided to try the "all in one" boob rather than doing the top and then bottom, I got the hang of "making one" but the bottom was no way gonna fit the top so dont know what I did wrong ...... hubby has an order for the boobs from work - to be used as ..... stress toys hmmmmmmmm now come on boys be serious !!!! (they did also say that what we all do for charity is very admirable)

Anyway have a great evening - will check back in tomorrow for an update
    Love and hugs Jaqui xxx

Hmm, looks as if nearly everyone else has gone on holiday Pam - all right for some.
I have the same problem as you, I keep looking at all these free patterns (and printing them off to put in my folder) and think `will I ever have enough time to do all these?` I`ve already got a box full of the ones I used for my kids and also `inherited` all my Mum`s and MIL`s as well.
I`ve just finished my second angel crib so have decided to do something less fiddly tonight so I think it will be buntings - don`t need to concentrate too much on them - but I`ll just have another wee look at the patterns on the `net first...................

    Bye for now.

    Hi everyone
Well the teddies were very well behaved during a very rough crossing !! Dear OH and I had to seriously lie down and stay in bed dozing as it is such a long crossing and it is awful when it does that kind of corkscrewing as well as rocking from side to side and up and down.

Well DD'S had a lovely meal cooked last night and we have had a busy day today unpacking the van and storing all the wine for the wedding ,oh and a couple of bottles for us.

Then the usual horrible shop and then DS and his fiancee arrived and are staying until Monday wjth bridesmaid dress fittings for DDS tomorrow. So all excitement here. It is so lovely. She has the added bonus of being a knitter too.

Well I knitted boobs,Aaron squres and Innocent Smoothie hats on the journey so when I get it all sorted I will update my totals. I will also get some parcels off. I am sorry Mrs Moneypenny I have not been able tp contribute to the Easter Fair but hope it has gone well.

I hope everyone has a very Happy Easter -- I am afraid the Toblerone is open here already !!!

I dont know what has gone on re the boobs but lets not get caught up in any negativity, as long as our efforts help people that is what it is all about. That lucky little baby in Spain is such a good example My father in law would have said " I bet he looks a real fart smellow !" Dear little soul must have lovely warm clothes every day thanks to all your kindnesses.

So lets knit on and best wishes to you all.
Try and do a good deed every day.

Hi Chalky, welcome back - sounds like you had an awful crossing - I don't do boats - get queasy on a boating lake - From what you say your welcome more than made up for it.

Hope you have a really fun time with all the fittings and other wedding excitement. Is your outfit sorted? I bet you have a fabulous Hat - knitted of course:rotfl:.

Don't overdo the Toblerone! Hmmm - I have a large plain one in my secret drawer - is it too late in the day??????????
