i read it and thought of you shelly, it made me feel a bit guilty as it was me that suggested you ask Lou for help when you got your big boob request. i hope ive not caused the problem. Any contact ive had with you has been on an open forum (usually this one) and ive made no secret of the fact i offered you the boobs id got here as you were trying to fill your order. At no time have you pmed me and asked me for anything.

I know you do your shouts on here to let us know what you are in need of but you dont get the thumb screws out if we are doing other things.

We were wooligans before we joined loving hands and as such there are lots of threads on here that we knit for as well as the loving hands group. I really hope it doesn't detoriate in a situation where we are expeced to choose who we want to knit for and stick to just one group.

Some wonderful people on here have kindly knitted things for the choir fund raiser my sons are involved in and i really apprechiate the kindness shown there. But i wouldn't consider that i am poaching from other charites by you offering to do that.

I hope this can be resolved quickly and with minimum upset as ours is a nice thread that has had no fall outs and i hope t doesnt start now.

f1 widow - what's this iron malarkie? I understand the cupboard with the dishes/water in, who invented the iron/cupboard thingie - I want one, where do I buy it, is there a long waiting list for it, how much does it cost? Bet it isn't available in rural Brittany - where boiler suits and pinnies are all the latest craze and I can confirm I have both - fetching eh -
Jean in France - not up to much today
    xx
Err no but if I invented this magic ironing cupboard - I think I would be very rich - unfortunately as there is no such cupboard I have not been able to finish my "boob job" as the black/chrome iron thingy needed plugging in and using, it got so hot I told it i was turning if off for today - Im making tea and sitting with my flesh wool and getting on tonight and thats that - no one or no electrical item will put me off !!!! (sometimes I really think I need help!!!!!!)
Speak to you all either later or tomorrow - have a good evening all - F1widow (aka Jaqui) xxxxx

    Hello everyone

I have just been in to the LH site....and O dear.....something similar happened last year, but us Wooligans decided we would go on contributing to whichever Charity needed us, LH, various others as and when they came along, and of course our lovely Shelley's Preemies x

A bit of Wooligan history in a nutshell ;)
Kathy (bless her cotton sox):A started this thread last year, and the first thing we did was squares for OECS to make up into blankets for elderly people, then a young man(who used to post quite regularly, until he moved ooopNorf) made a suggestion that we make a blanket for a young woman who posted regularly on another thread, whos husband sadly died. So we all had a chat and decided to make squares....WELL the response.....you would not believe how many we did.
In the finish we had enough to make blankets for her children too.:D

After that a lot of us joined Loving Hands, but still did our own thing too.........and the rest as they say is history ;)

So you see charity is universal and we all do what we can when we can.
It's not a chore, it's a pleasure, even if some of the patterns do have us tearing our hair out :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

O dear I do seem to have gone on a bit, did'nt mean to :o
    Take care all

  • Craftlady,
I did a couple of samples of Angel cribs and memory caches (keepsakes) and a quick rough pattern for Shelley at Preemiesuk, I think the pictures are on her site now.
    Have a great weekend knitting

    Craftlady,

You can see pics of Jean`s cribs / caches in her wooligans photo album.
They aren`t on the preemiesuk site yet.
