    Mioliere / Maytaurus,

See above - I changed the format from lists to paragraphs this halved the number of pages and it posted no problem - don't know why.

Kathy - will it do for now? What do you think - its not quite so easy to read but all the info is there.

Thanks for that Elaine - my son is now "north of the border" - I have 2 grandkids with strange accents as well ;) - they live near one of the "Whisky Trails" & they never think to bring a bottle when they visit - maybe I'm too subtle !!:rotfl:

Hi everyone, thanks so much for the welcome.

Thanks for the places to find out more Meloire, and thoughts of your sweet phrase will spur me on even though I'm slow as it'll certainly all be done with love Anne (Tight As). :A Hi Aeshna, couldn't help but see you last night, but didn't say anything as I didn't want you to think I was hounding you! As if!

are you sure it wouldn't be OK to put your ...whatever it is.. on over 2 posts. You can always mention at the beginning of the first and at the end that the next part follows on on the next post. Then put another similar heading at top and bottom of the 2nd post. Just make sure you don't put them on til you're at the top of a fresh 'page'. I hope this is of some use and that all goes well.

  • Hello! Just quickly popped on before going to bed and you've all been so busy again!
Is there a problem with the length of post updating? Haven't had chance to read everything but I saw you are using word/excel- have you thought about just uploading your document to google docs and then posting a link to it, so instead of the list of totals you could post a link to the totals document. Just a idea, I use google documents a lot to share work online when can't email attachments or am using multiple pcs! Here's some examples.

    Good morning all.

Prfungi - Pam, I loved your update test! I don't know anything about the google docs thingy (thanks to Jellybeans for the suggestion!) but would be grateful if you would investigate it - it sounds like just the thing. Thanks for all the time and effort you are putting in to the update problem! Hope you're not too hungover this morning!

Well, despite trying hard every evening - when we eventually sit down, after yet another day packing and sorting out, I am finding it impossible to get anything made to add to my totals, because I either doze off, someone phones or DH interrupts me. I have just a few pairs of quick crochet booties to add for now, but I'm so looking forward to being a bit more settled once we move, and being able to get a lot more done. Once I've finished this post, I shall sit down for an hour and see what I can get done!

    I'll call back later.

    Hi mioliere
    I've pm'd you,
sorry I'm just getting back to you but I had to stay at my mums as she's not so good
Luckily I moved Mum & Dad into a bungalow in the same drive as our house in 2003 so it's only a few houses away instead of over 60 miles
I've been in touch with MSE BOFFINS & I'm waiting for some more info which I will obviously share as soon as it arrives :j

Maytaurus-- We all love your pictures and they cheer our days so if you have a moment I am going to set you a challenge
Too long to fill you in on all my life but let me say I married a PE teacher 33 years ago and I cant do a forward roll BUT I can knit and always have SO ---
TOMORROW we leave our house in Spain at 5.45 a.m ( and I dont do mornings either!!!) DOH loves snowboarding ( far too old really but I do admire him) We arrive on the slopes him looking really chic all the kit etc etc and me looking like the biggest bag lady on the planet. I have to take everything with me to keep me occupied on the mountain top for 2 whole days. So I approach the
Gondolas (and they move far too quickly for my liking) with my knitted carrier bag ( see photobucket pictures cos it really is fab !! ) and off we go, me to knit, crochet for 2 whole days with everyone looking with much amusement as they do the apres ski malarky -- you know sunglasses or panda eyes and I am armed with a crochet hook ,

So Maytaurus I would love a picture of that scenario -- I got asked to leave the restaurant last time as I had obviously outstayed my welcome knitting but it was sooo warm !!!

Work in process but here's something to keep you going :rotfl:

I love that, Maytaurus, and will use them for wedding anniversary cards for both my boys this year!

Please send lots of (((hugs))) to your Mum. It must be such a relief to have your parents close by when illness crops up.

I've emailed you this morning. Thanks for your efforts on the updating problems!

Well, off to try and get something constructive achieved!

Have a great day, everyone. I'll keep coming back on here - it gives me a break now and again!
