Well, it had to happen at some point - I've just tried to copy and paste the update and it has too many characters! I knew this would happen eventually because the running totals are amazing. I'm only allowed 25,000 characters per post on here, and the latest update runs to 27,913!! You've all done so well :j :A :T we've run out of space!
I really don't know what to do now; I've edited as much as I can to remove characters. If I do the update over two posts, I think it will be confusing. I'll be grateful for any suggestions as to how to get over this problem.

Hi Kathy, I don't understand the techie stuff, but would an alternative be to have a 'key' for each item i.e. Squares = Sq, Bunting = Bu, Blanket = Bl etc,
this would then decrease the number of characters. Like I say don't understand new stuff just old fashioned, just a suggestion.

Kathy - wow!!! run out of room thats some achievement. :T Yes he is gorgeous, and we love him to bits already, he has been with them a week today, so 9 weeks to go until they can apply for the adoption.
I did finish my stuff off last night and will add any more to it before I next post my totals. I will post after Dinner on Saturday evening so it will be ready for you on Sunday morning. I thought that would be better as you're an early riser
Welcome to the "gang" Sue-UU we are a friendly bunch in here

morning all
not sure what to suggest about the word limit on the totals. in my section you could take out the bit about Mason calling puffin bags pe bags and just refer to all my choirboy fundrasiers as that without putting toys or creme egg holders that would save a few characters.
Mason is 8 (9 next month) so hes not to old for a cuddle Kathy that you for all the smilies he got back ill show him after school tonight. I shouldn't really criticise him for being distracted should i after all there is a pile of ironing and some washing up i should be doing but im n here having already finished a creme egg cover i started last night:rotfl:
welcome to all the newbies:hello:SPC~12 ot 124

Hi all - Good morning from late riser :rotfl:
Kathy - a quick fix would be to split the individuals and the overall totals into 2 posts.
I'm sure Maytaurus will find an answer she's :A
I also like SGT's idea about a key

Hi all and thanks for the suggestions - keep 'em coming! What I may end up doing is as Maytaurus suggested and split the updates into two separate posts. That should be easy to do but, at the moment, I am suffering from 'hurried-woman syndrome' and will need to spend time on it. I'll have a think and try and sort it out for the next update.
Mrs Moneypenny - I've already edited a couple of times to squash the words up but, the way everyone is knitting (all except me at the moment, I'm afraid), and with all the newbies, reaching the character limit will keep on happening, so I need to sort out something else.
Well, a break from the packing (and DH because he's gone to the tip with all the things I've made him throw out - ancient tins of paint in colours I can't ever remember using, an old lamp stand that he has been meaning to 'do something with' for about thirty years, and, well, you get the picture!).

Hi everyone! I'd like to get back to doing some knitting again. I'm not fast and not great by any means, but I'd love to do something helpful for those who need it so much.
I was looking at the baby wool in Lidl and wondered, what's best to knit with it for little ones? What size needles are best for whatever I knit, number of stitches as well please?
Thanks so much and congratulations for such marvellous work!:T
Sue
:hello: Hi Sue-UU its true their are a friendly bunch here and just remember it not the speed that you knit, its the love that you put into it.
