Hi all - I was going to update but I'll do it first thing in the morning. There's lots to add!

L C Wilson - you've listed items that you've posted; are they your latest update or things I've already added in previous updates? You've been really busy - that must have been a huge parcel you posted!

    KathyXX

22 Aaron squares and 1 Bunting to add (the rest are already included)

Sorry I didn't mention it as such, but I was just going to update everything ready for Sunday.

Already made some more squares tonight, so I'll just keep them to add later on.

As for it being a large parcel - I bought a pack of posting bags and only realized this morning that I should have gone for something a lot bigger than the ones I picked up. It was real fun trying to squeeze the air out of the little plastic bags so I could stuff a few more in. :rotfl: Thankfully these things don't weigh much, so postage was very reasonable.

Get some rest because you're gonna need all of the energy you can find in the next few weeks :D. You actually move on the day I'm having a party for my mother's 90th birthday. Her birthday is the 18th, but I've got the village hall for the 21st. Up to 80+ guests at the moment

Hi everyone! I'd like to get back to doing some knitting again. I'm not fast and not great by any means, but I'd love to do something helpful for those who need it so much.

I was looking at the baby wool in Lidl and wondered, what's best to knit with it for little ones? What size needles are best for whatever I knit, number of stitches as well please?

Thanks so much and congratulations for such marvellous work!:T

Hi all – I’m so sorry I’ve confused you all. I’d forgotten that I’d said I would not update until next Sunday! I bet you’re all pulling your hair out! I think my brain must be on its way out, with all the thinking I’m doing! I will do my update now (because I didn’t do one on Sunday) then make a note in my diary that the next one will next Sunday, there won’t be one the following Sunday (22nd) because I’ll be offline, then I’ll restart the Sunday after that! Once again, I am so sorry.

L C Wilson – I bet your Mum’s birthday will be fantastic. 90 is a great age. I hope the party goes really well; it must have taken a lot of organising for 80 + guests! As for getting all the air out of a parcel, I read somewhere to put little holes in the packaging with a sewing needle, and the air will just leak out!

Prfungi – well done on uploading a lovely picture!

Sue UU – welcome to you! If you read the very first post on this thread, you’ll find all the relevant info and, in every update I do, you’ll find this link #964 in which Maytaurus puts all the links to patterns, tutorials, and lots of other stuff. You’ll find enough to keep you going for years. Generally, we use 4mm (old size 8) needles for DK wool, but the patterns will tell you which needles to use for which thickness of wool. Some of the patterns are American; their wool and needles sizes are different from ours, but Maytaurus has put conversion charts for these in her #964 link. Don’t worry about how fast you knit, or how good you are – every item is welcome and will make a difference to someone’s life.

Well, I managed to tackle a lot yesterday, but the list doesn’t seem to be going down at all! I’m picking the grandchildren up from school this afternoon, so looking after them for a couple of hours will make me take some time out from all the packing. I’ve packed all the wool I won’t be using for a while, and kept out enough for making preemie things, things for my next grandchild due in the summer, and things I want to make for the grandchildren for Easter, but I’m finding it very hard to get any of them done at the moment. I shall keep trying, though.

Anyway, update in next post and then not again until next Sunday!

Well, it had to happen at some point - I've just tried to copy and paste the update and it has too many characters! I knew this would happen eventually because the running totals are amazing. I'm only allowed 25,000 characters per post on here, and the latest update runs to 27,913!! You've all done so well :j :A :T we've run out of space!

I really don't know what to do now; I've edited as much as I can to remove characters. If I do the update over two posts, I think it will be confusing. I'll be grateful for any suggestions as to how to get over this problem.
