I was wondering that too as I think I could do the knitting part wouldn't have a clue how to go about lining them!

Mioliere, please update me with 2 vent hats. Definitely got the hang of them now! Fellow unconfident knitters - the hats are OK to do and a nice change from squares when you get bored with them!

I'm currently trying to streamline my stash by knitting with a load of eyelash yarn that I got ages ago but don't enjoy knitting with very much. Anybody know if these are OK for the OECS or any other squares? Have got some of that Foxy type stuff to use too :-( Saving lots of bits of both for the smoothie hats later on this year!

You do not need to line them, and if you are sending them to me all you need to do is to sewn the top up and i will do the ribbon when they come to me as i have loads here

I sat watching cast away last night with Tom Hanks. It is ages since i watch it, sat in bed knitting as well the kids think i am so sad, just like my mother till they realised what i was knitting. I showed them the little cardigan i was sewing up. They were impressed, my son said "Ahh its so small". I then went on to make 3 hats.

Hi RoloPolo - you did well knitting all that when you were in bed! I doze off when I'm knitting on the sofa - I wouldn't stand a chance trying to knit in bed! I've added your hats and cardi to my last update. Thanks.

morning all

next time you do an update can you put me on the list please, i've finally finished that 2ply baby gown and i did 1 vent hat. and a bonnet the bonnet is full size so ill put that in my next LH parcel so 2 hats for me as well please

shezmit could you pm me the address i need to send them to please they still need ribbons adding.

i wasnt sure if i was doing the vent hat too big the pattern said 8 and 10mm needles is that right? i did the small size and its knitted up with a finished circumfrence of 12inches - that just seems a bit big for a preemie hat. once youve seen it can you tell me if it is too big and ill have to alter the needle size or reduce the number of stitches or something.

Hello everyone, great how much knitting everyone is doing

I've done one more teddy, uploaded a photo of my finished teds to my facebook, so many sites could put it on can't do them all! So sticking with facebook photos as Loving Hands has a group on there too

Shezmit, do you need any more ventilator hats or buntings? I think I need a break from teddies so can do some and send (but have no ribbon or lining, just lots of wool and knitting fingers!)

mrs-moneypenny which pattern are you using? There is one that says 8 and 10mm needles that I've done with size 8 and size 10 needles instead and the hats came out about the same size as the top knot hats- which use size 8 and 10 needles, so I assumed this pattern had a typo as 8 and 10 mm are very thick needles!

i started with 8 & 10 mm as the pattern suggested but it was coming up huge so i went down a few mm. i think you are right it must be a typo - ill try them on old fashioned 8 and 10 needles
