Thanks also for the what you said regarding my mum,( who is 83 this yr) she has been through so much including 2 hips replacements, 9 heart attacks & a pacemaker fitted and has never complained, always been a busy caring person & been there to help everyone else, so it's especially sad to see her have the dementia & alhzeimer's,she would have loved to join in here.
I'm so glad she taught me to knit though :cool: :smileyhea

Mrs Moneypenny - you're not being a pain. When I looked back at the update list, it did look as if Aaron's squares were part of your choirboys' fundraisers!

Well, I've woken up later than usual - stayed up late to watch a film that sent me to sleep anyway! I've made all my notes for the update (another amazing amount of new items to add!), but need to get DH up in a minute, so I'll update shortly.

Don79 - a warm welcome to you. If you go back to the very first post on this thread, there's lots of info in there and great links in most of Maytaurus's posts. If there's anything you are unsure of, please ask here - we're only too happy to help.

PLEASE NOTE: Thanks to everyone for such a good response to Chalky's appeal for the orphanage in Spain. Her SIL has arrived with all our items, and they have been delivered to the orphanage. Chalky has posted some great photos on page 27 of this thread. I think we will have made a big difference to a baby who arrived there with nothing; doesn't it make you feel good?!

morning all

brilliant totals again:T thank you for doing those each day Kathy, and thanks to maytarus for all the brilliant links you keep providing:T .

i sat last night and put the faces on my little ducks, youngest DS came down this morning and asked if he can have one and picked one out. i asked why that one when they are all the same, he said that his looks happy some have angry faces:eek: . To me they all look identical:o , i'll leave my totals as they stand as ive got enough wool to get another one done today so will still have 10 to hand over as samples tonight at the lent fish supper.

Well done, Mrs Moneypenny - I've listed your birds as ducklings AND chicks - is that right or are they all one or the other. I can't believe any of them will look angry! I hope they go down well at the supper tonight.

Maytaurus is great at finding all sorts of goodies for us, isn't she? The only problem is it means I have more and more things on my 'to-do' list now and not enough time to do them all!

Shez - I'm posting off two parcels to you today; one containing chicks and teds, the other containing the preemie items I've made for Preemies UK, and one knitted Aaron square. I'll try and make some more squares - the totals for his squares are looking great, aren't they?

thats fine as it is kathy because the 10 ive done are ducklings but if i do the same pattern in fluffy wool they will look more like chicks so they can all go in the same totals how you've written it.

Hi everyone - this is my first post!! I have been knitting for charity for a while now - but have just found this wonderful thread!! what a brilliant source of information. Last year I did 200 hats for the Save the Children appeal and earlier this month sent a box of prem baby stuff to Bonnie Babies after I read about them in a newspaper. At the moment I'm knitting for Algerian Action after I found them on the internet too!!
So, already completed and ready to go to them I have:
2 cardigans
6 hats
1 pair mittens
1 pair bootees

I also have a blanket to finish (nearly done) and another hat on the needles.

So much to do, so little time!!!
