  • I'd like to add my thanks to maytaurus for the links. There should be enough there to keep us busy for a while :D

Following updates for me please Kathy:

25 'Aaron squares', 1 baby hat.

I've also knitted one of those preemie super stretchy hats, but it looks *awfully* small. I know I knitted the smallest size, but not sure how big it should have turned out. It's 3" across when sewn up, and extends to about just over 5" when stretched. About 3" high, with another 1" turnover.

Should I be keeping this one for Smoothie bottles? :rotfl:

    Hi everyone.

LC Wilson - Shezmit will tell you if the hat is suitable for a preemie.

Mrs Moneypenny - I've just been back to my last update and put your Aaron squares where they should be!

There are lots of things to add tomorrow! I've finished the pink dress for Loving Hands and also made a bright pink hat and booties.

Shez - I'm getting your parcel of teds and chicks ready and will post them tomorrow with some preemie things.

We're having a major declutter here so there has been lots of shredding and filing; in fact the shredding was in danger of wearing out the shredder so I suggested to DH that he had a little fire in his wheelbarrow; he's been happily burning things out in the garden all afternoon!

Anyway, I'm off for a bath. See you all later and thanks so much for all your items.

Hi. I can't knit at all but am starting to take up crochet - is there anything simple and not too taxing that I could try to start with??

Also, would be grateful for some help plz - I've tried doing crochet squares with basic stitches (db, tr, db tr, tr tr etc), but my square never stays square! It either tapers in towards the top or fans out towards the top - I've never had a perfect square yet!

Would be very grateful for your help, as I would like to try and do some small contribution for these worthwhile charities. :A

    Thanx. Jo.
