Just want to say well done to the passport office...my husband needed to renew his before our trip in April so we went into a post office on the 11th for the checking service and the new passport arrived yesterday. I think that 10 calendar days is a very good turn-around myself. He ESTAd up straight away - immediate approval/confirmation.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?

Directly with the box office...if there aren't any offers available, it's the only way to go.

If you aren't happy with the seats you're offered online you can call them - you can be more particular about what seats you want that way.

Just i case anyone is interested, we applied for ESTA's before we travelled and still had to fill in the green form. The guy said that the ESTA only gives you the right to travel to the US, not to enter it!!
He was quite scary, so I didn't question him about it. :rotfl:

Sorry, I wasn't too clear. We call him "the baby", as he is the only child in the family. The tablet was lying right in the middle of the floor in the bedroom and it was bright pink against a cream carpet. We went into the room a second after him so we were fairly sure he didn't swallow another tablet, but when he got ill we wanted to make double-sure, due to the severity of his vomiting. He has been on a cruise and spent a month travelling round Asia and Australia with his parents and this is his second trip to Vegas, so he usually travels very well.

I don't want to push the hotel for comps or anything, but we just want them to be aware of this scare and hopefully take steps to ensure it never happens again.
Hang on, you said that the baby came in holding a tablet, you didn't say you saw it on the floor first. As stated, the hotel did all it could/should have done, and call the paramedics at no cost to you. Apologising could come across as an admission of guilt leading to a huge lawsuit. At the end of the day, the baby was fine, sick for some other reason.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.

  • Can someone help a newbie with understanding the poker tourneys please?

I've looked at the info on http://www.allvegaspoker.com/tournaments.php

If there's a buy-in value, say MGM Grand @ $65, does that limit the cost to a total of $65? Or is there an open-ended commitment?

    Thanks

The MGM is $65 with no rebuys. If you're that new to poker I wouldn't recommend the MGM tournie.
