Hi everyone
Just wanted to share with you the bargain (I think, anyway!) I got this morning booking my hotel for LV in April.
Booked for 18th - 23rd April for 5 nights at the Wynn for $119 per night - so about £460 for both of us in 5* hotel - I'm well chuffed!
Got it through Hotwire. Although you don't know you're hotel until you've booked and paid, the Wynn seems to be coming up a lot lately. Used www.betterbidding.com to try and identify the hotel and they came up trumps!

Travelex showing exchange rate of 1.37 (might go lower)........0

The Bellagio Fountainsgood grief! have you seen the exchange rate today (currently @ 1.404!!!)
hopefully a 'temporary blip', but may i recommend people who want to 'lock-in' a good rate have a look here:
http://www.crowncurrencyexchange.com/content/cancelled-currency-contracts-dollars.asp
edit: now 1.395
How are these sort of advance currency exchange places protected? I honestly don't know much about them but with the world coming to an end and all that, I would worry about paying for currency I wouldn't receive until later...just thinking of those with various store vouchers, Christmas clubs, etc. that have lost all value in these things...probably not the case with something like this, but worries me a bit.
Am kicking myself as I said to my husband when the rate at my local place went to $1.50 recently 'I should buy some...' But I'm lazy and didn't. Woe is me.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -

Sounds like an excellent deal...hotwire and the like scare me but I have seen a lot of people getting great deals...me, I'd screw up and end up in Primm somehow.
Just be conscious that there's a massive convention in town over your dates - so plan what you can in advance and book where you can.Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0 -
The Bellagio FountainsWow, can't believe how much this thread has grown already!! I just can't keep up with you lot!! lol
I am getting very excited now!! Flights and hotel are booked - just need to sort out how to get to Manchester now!!!
Bought my dress and am ready to book the chapel now, but have to wait until the phone is charged as I don't want to get cut off half way through arranging it!!!
I am however starting to get a little worried about how costly it is starting to become though
Anyway was after a little help if possible??
We want to go for a meal with all of our guests (there will be 12 of us) I am looking for somewhere quite romantic - any suggestions?
like others have suggested Mon Ami Gabi is pretty much the only place you sit outside and watch the strip go by while you eat.
although i have never eaten at any of the restaurants , the ones the look out onto the Bellagio lake look nice ( and pricey) . or you could try The Eiffle tower restaurant .
Has anyone ever eaten at Parasols up Parasols down @ The Wynn ?? cause that always looks a nice place, though i honestly do not if it would suitable for a wedding dinner.Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:0 -

Although I'm no fan of CircusCircus $21 is an excellent rate ....as is $119 Wynn just down the street depends what your budget is and how important the room is to you-to some spending an extra near enough $100 a night extra is a bargain-to others it'd make the holiday to have that extra $400 in their spending budget in stead-neither is wrong
Personally if it's only a base I'd suggest the Imperial Palace woud be an equally good alternative with a better Strip location for the same money as Circus Circus tho
I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
The Bellagio Fountainssome of the rooms at circus circus have been renovated and cost a few dollars more0

It isn't the rooms for me that is the dealbreaker it's the packs of kids roaming.....and to me (don't laugh) it smells funny !I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole

Or with those crazy 2-for-1 rates at Bally's for $36/night that photome posted...to me, that extra $15 night for the location alone would be worth it...never mind the packs of kids...or the smell....even if it's 71% more expensive...:)Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?0
